Yeah that corner has been an issue before and was one of the parts that was needed to be covered before previous postponements. Visible on the coverage tonight. Wonder why they didn’t do similar work to the centre circle there? Not as big an area and could have helped prevent future issues there.

The ball isn't moving well or bouncing around that area is it? I think they do the hydra-draining (?) tomorrow. Hope it helps | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Nope, although Armstrong doesn’t get near the squad much for league games now. Horne has done well since coming on at the back.

He got a fair bit of game time earlier in the season when coming on on the left to see games out. He’d disappeared recently though as you say. I think his only league start might have been at York when Beckwith was rested.

He has. I thought Brad Kelly looked assured between the sticks and made good saves when needed. And pleased we were able to keep a clean sheet after going down to 10 with 30 minutes or so to go [Post edited 21 Jan 21:01]

Don’t think the final is there. Decent performance. That corner of the pitch is a real concern though. It needs work and then properly covering to stop any significant rain falling on it.

Dale v Stoke U21 21st Jan? on 21:16 - Jan 21 with 1267 views | Yorkshire_Dale | Good workout for our lot on our own midden. The "wicket" patch looked well and stood up to midfield activity, big well done to the contractors and our own groundsfolk. Hope we have a written guarantee. Allarakia had a good game (esp first half)and I hope he recovers for Saturday as he looked jiggered at the end. All the kids thrown on did well and I too thought Kelly did well with a clean sheet. Another W posted. Bring on Boston.

The record should surely only count against "first team" opponents, whatever the tournament It's not a true "first team fixture" if it only applies to one side

It's Yeovil before them.

Dale v Stoke U21 21st Jan? on 21:39 - Jan 21 with 1073 views | Daley_Lama | Central area looked fine throughout, but corner near police control looked dead and i assume is one of the areas to be verti-drained from tomorrow. Has certainly been an area of concern previous seasons. Decent run out for many. Thought Berger had a good game, solid all over the park. Stoke caused us more concern before the sending off than after but that could be down to their substitutes too. No injuries, good fitness session for those that needed it. Beat Wolves and cheer on Man U to progress!

They haven't announced a venue for the final yet. If Oldham don't beat Man U next week, we can overtake Oldham by beating Wolves in our last match on 11th Feb. But, Altrincham play Wolves next Tuesday and a win for either side there will take them above Dale until 11th Feb. The top two teams progress. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/national-league-cup/table [Post edited 21 Jan 21:50]

Suddenly there's a bit more interest in this Cup.....gives us chance to keep our full squad at the ready. Besides, the free DAZN streaming is a bonus. Ps thanks for pointing out the Yeovil fixture!

Dead right…makes a mockery of the record books. With 331 attending even if all were adults paying 2 quid that 662 quid. Imagine what the costs were, referees’ fees, Staff, floodlights etc etc. The pitch needs as much recovery time as possible soplaying these games in the depths of winter is madness.
