Bees/Tykes was an interesting/bittersweet derby in light of post-Brexit employment regulation which largely obliterates access to the value markets they've strategised around - by my count about half the players on show and both managers wouldn't be options now.

It's not like both teams aren't already ahead of the pack in and (in Bees' case) haven't made bundles out of the domestic market but with competition fiercer it will be interesting to see how hard it all bites. Bit of a sliding doors season for Bees in particular potentially.

That poxy prediction site had them on about 176 points didn't they? Swansea and Norwich winning on the same night made this a very enjoyable evening.

You know when we take the mick about them perhaps being a little bit full of it sometimes?

Can’t see what is wrong with that do you honestly think that none of your fans would be putting this up if it was their club. Most fans get carried away when things take a turn for the better just look a few weeks back some on here did what they’ve done for the last 3 seasons after turning a bad run around and going on a winning run start a play offs thread and why wouldn’t you.
For what it’s worth I think we have over achieved this season and without Toney I expect we would be mid table which is where I thought we would be pre season.losing Watkins and Benrahma and having Norguaard missing for most of the season along with Mbeumo not the same player as last season has seen us way behind the team that finished 3 rd last season.
We finish the season with Henry and Dasilva out now I think the play offs will be our best bet but after losing in the 9 we have played in we might as well finish 7 th.No great desire by me to get to the PL just to get back to watching with my mates at our new stadium which I expect you will have the pleasure to do and take the piss out of next season.

Henry is a big loss for the Bees , maybe the expectations will be lower now & lessen the pressure for the run in .
Fully agree on playing in the championship rather than the prem , as for the new stadium do you have any idea how many seats the away clubs will be allocated ?

Around 3000 which can be increased up to 5000 so will be a lot better for away fans and sure will sell out every home game.Henry is a big miss but a casualty of this mad schedule that most clubs have suffered.Expectations ! don’t get me started unless we win these days our new fans go ballistic on social media.

Looked like Raya handled outside the area too.

That was incredible. Just walked outside the area and brought the ball back with him. I think the referee was so stunned he'd even tried it he just froze.

There was a classic in the ITV 4 Big Match Revisited this morning when the goalie just picked up the ball outside the area. No booking just a free kick. Mind you, it was 1979!

35 seconds in.

This banter is like objecting to gastropubs by only drinking piss in flat roofers instead just to make the point.

They're just Brentford dude. It's not like I'm pointing out every time they enthusiastically post a favourable statistic, that'd be weird.

Five Thirty Eight .com reckons there's a 213% chance of you sly tipping them to win their next game.

“If you look at the 90 minutes it’s more or less a spotless performance. If look at the numbers, how big the chances were and how we played, it’s a 4-1 win so that is what we will take away from this game,”

Has there ever been a more deluded entitled club with nothing to back it up with

What grinds me is the total absence of SwitchingCode (not so bad), and Newbee (a complete ball ache) from this board until now, thinking that we would have forgotten that they lost their cup final. Without Toney they are average and if they don’t go up this season then like Watkins and Benrama beforehand Toney will be offski. I also suspect that the Chief Masticator could also decide he’s had his time. This season is their big chance to join the throngs of cannon fodder in the big league. Shame they are starting to choke again.
