Is the multi-club structure leading to less accountability? 12:19 - Jan 8 with 1139 views | Joiedevivre | Our chairman, Henrik Kraft, has his LinkedIn as front and centre 'Valenciennes Football Club' The CEO of Sport Republic, a man who was in charge of our summer transfers, Rasmus Ankereson, is on a jolly in Turkey as President of Goztepe. Phil Parsons works on the commercial side of things. I don't like how the multi-club structure allows for a squirming of responsibility. Who is to blame and does this allow them to dispose of Saints' problems with their other responsibilities?

Is the multi-club structure leading to less accountability? on 12:35 - Jan 8 with 1064 views | DorsetIan | i guess the essential conflict here is that for us, success is measured by what happens to Saints, whereas for SR it will be the overall success of the group that will be their priority. And these two things will not always align.

It doesn't work for us. We want owners that are totally committed to us without any interest or distractions by being involved with other clubs. SR have destroyed our Club. They will regret it when they have to sell it for a lot less than they paid for it. If they think that is good business then they shouldn't be in business.

The success of Goztepe and Valenciennes has made it easier for those in charge of us to jump ship. They're all egotistical. Therefore, they will flock to the successful clubs and claim the glory. Hence why Rasmus lives in Turkey and why Kraft wants his number under the French success.

Only problem with this is that Valenciennes are not successful! They are currently 12th in the French third tier of 17 teams (18 including Bordeaux, who went bust), having been relegated last year! Arguably SR have been even worse for them than for Saints.

Rather stupidly I just assumed. Interesting that Bordeaux went bust even after we kindly gave them £12 million odd for Mara, whom we could've had for free.

I do wonder if there are one or two people out there biding their time waiting to make an offer to buy the Club. Asking price should be dropping like a stone over the next few months.

"WHY". Why would anyone be interested in buying our club. I really can't think of one good reason WHY anyone would want to invest in us. The only people daft enough to invest in our club is us fans who pay silly money to support them [Post edited 8 Jan 14:07]

But we have super-duper gulags and a pub in our ground. This proves we are massive.

You’re joking right ? We have massive potential with a large catchment area . Everyone has heard of SFC due to our coverage and standing in the top league in England for years . I’ve never understood why we haven’t been bought by a super rich backer someone who is serious in taking us somewhere instead of using us as a plaything, it’s not like there’s much competition down south is there .

You could argue that when Marcus bought us back in 2009 (or thereabouts?) for a song and look at what happened then. He brought that feelgood factor in to the club which is definitely what's needed right now, and I wonder what might have happened if he hadn't passed when he unfortunately did As Pat has said above, there could be another Marcus waiting in the wings with a few spare quid ready to jump in? Ok, it could take a couple of years but we do genuinely have the infrastructure and fans to be a worthwhile aquisition

This. Even with Bournemouth and Brighton in the PL the catchment area is vast and we could easily mop up everything from Bournemouth in the West, to Brighton and beyond in the East. For some reason we have never had owners willing to go balls out to get us on the map. Have said it for years, we should be getting shot of all our old unsold replica kits and getting them out to places in Asia etc and giving them to football fans to get them on the Saints bandwagon. Is Ralph Krueger still promoting us overseas as I thought that was his remit in the latter days!?!? Seriously though, would have been very interesting to see how we might have faired had Markus (RIP) still been around. With him and Cortese it was the closest we got to going places. These goons now couldn’t run a bath.

Last time Derby County were in the PL they did the same thing, they opened a pub in their ground themed very much on the old Baseball Ground. Not sure how it worked out for them back in 2008 - oh, hang on, wait a minute… ah…

There you have it "daft enough", rumour is Elon Musk is looking to invest in a club in English leagues? Loads of money and Rupert back as chairman, what could possibly go wrong!

He is interested in Liverpool. I am sure his far-right views would be well-received there.....

We get a lot of support from the Bournemouth area and beyond, and everything up to Bristol and home counties so yes potentially a large fan base. We have the the biggest stadium which can easily be enlarged and superb training facilities, and a PL history, so you would hope potential purchasers would be having a look! Our current chaos (no strong leadership and £200m wasted) and plunging into the championship has got to be attractive to those who want to buy a football club.
