Wonderful cameo.

Don't think it would have been as good if he had actually scored.

Perpetual motion.
Love him

Lloyd and Saito were fantastic.

He’s a great asset to throw on defending a lead, when the opposition are playing up high. Sinclair was great at harrying defenders into errors but Alfie is much better on the ball.

He was great when he came on. Just has to score that first chance though. Second was much harder.

Smells like a trout farm in here

They were a real pain to the Luton defence. Saito needs a goal to push on though. Then...we may see something special. When Lloyd learns to compose himself a bit more when chances come his way...he will be a better player than Sinclair.

Missed 2 decent chances but thought he was really good. Well done Alfie!

Definitely would've been better if he scored and everyone could relax just that little bit more though! Agree though, absolute nuisance and he seemed to win everything in the air. Work on certain aspects of his game like having the ball under control and he will be a great player I think.

Agreed.

I was a bit sad to see Sinclair leave but you're right imho, Alfie is equally good at causing defenders to worry but has the added benefit of being good with his feet.

So unlucky not to score.

Hmmm....

Not sure he is good with his feet. Miscontrolled another one tonight.

He's clearly a lovely lad, though, and I'm very happy for him. But I'd imagine - to use a commentator's cliché - he'll be disappointed he didn't score tonight.

Said this much on the match thread... you just have to love this lad...
Normally I don't take so quickly yo players, but there is just something about Alfie that tugs at you, and you're almost willing the lad to come good, just absolutely love the lad and hope he as a career with us

Definitely made a positive impact again and has something about him which makes me feel like he can succeed at Championship level for us. Needs starts and mins to develop though from a loan to L1 or 2

He's definitely improving. Positioning and timing of his jumps were impressive.

Yeah, he could and should have buried both those chances. He worked his socks off, a real nuisance, but you have to score those.
I always feel the ball is in control of him, rather than the other way around.

It was actually the other chance I meant, on the left edge of our box, where we wanted a free, but he'd already lost the ball.

But that's something he can improve on.

Yeo, was very unlucky with one of them. On another day, both go in. There is definitely something there with this lad. Clearly very passionate and hard working. He could turn out to be a very good player for us if he keeps that raw enthusiasm and hard work going. Well done Alfie, keep it going lad 👏

IMO he and Kolli are best headers of a ball, not just winning, but directing too.

The grass is always greener.

He used some intelligence too. Once he realised that the ref was not giving ANY free kicks for fouls, he started to jump into the defenders to win headers.

Yeah I thought that too, read the situation well I think.

Would have liked him to score one of those chances. He put in a lot of hard work and think his decision making was good with the chances he had, just execution was off.

A great option when we have a lead and want to prevent a team from creeping too far forward

Might’ve missed a trick by not playing him at the end against Norwich but clearly got it right yesterday

He’s had a load of near misses and think a few goals are around the corner. Certainly needs them for his confidence

He was unlucky with his two chances. He caused chaos when he came on . Won his headers and worked his nuts off.
Word for Colback . We lost control for the ten minutes either side of the break .
Martí saw this and Colback wrestled it back .
Shame he isn’t fit all the time . I think he’s great.
