Not bad for a smallish club. Bloody magnificent on my stream.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Yep , came across loud and clear on the radio. Sorry for the Victor Meldrew input, but as recently as WBA a good number of fans were chanting “ you’re not fit to wear the shirt “ and the pathetic “ we’ve got / lost the ball “ song when we went 2-0 down.Hopefully those kind of people stay away In future and the proper fans outnumber them like at Stoke.

Could it not be argued then that the "you're not fit to wear the shirt" at WBA and at the Preston home game.....worked?

Maybe you could argue that it finally woke the players up. Something did.

I'm always amazed and admire fans that can support some of the players that wear our hoops through thick and thin. I don't have the patience and nor do a few others.

But everyone wants the best for the R's, however patient you are.

The only problem was caused by the stewards who insisted that we used the right entrance for your ticket. Not very good when you tried to use the green entrance but you’ve got a red ticket and have to try and squeeze through the crowd to get to the other end of the packed concourse to get to your seat. When you finally get there and find that there isn’t a red entrance as it’s called orange.
Fecking ridiculous system to try and enforce at 2.50pm in a packed away concourse.
Would it be too much of a problem to put up signs saying that you can only enter via the proper coloured stairway?

Thought the stewards were very laid back in other respects though. Very hot on making sure everyone used the right entrance but then happy to let people stand wherever including the stairs and smoke. Not saying that’s good or bad but it’s preferable to some of the jobsworths you get.

They were lucky to get away without more of a problem than they had with that. Stoke is often the worst stewarded match we go to and, bar Hull, yesterday was no exception.

Outside they were funnelling you further down the stand to empty turnstiles at the end, but when we got in that put us at the opposite end of the stand to our seats. They then insisted you could only go up the gangway that was on your ticket, absolute jobsworth stuff, which funnelled a large amount of supporters all at once at about 245 down into that bar area which was already absolutely rammed. Little moment where the people in front of me weren't moving, the people behind were trying to push to get to the seats, that I just thought... hmmm this isn't feeling too good.

It's very rarely spoken about when we talk about fan behaviour, trouble at matches, overcrowding, policing etc but it is mad that every week safety critical role of stewards at football matches of 20,000 people plus are outsourced to some local nobody, K2 Security in this case, who then staff it by getting 200 people in off the street for four hours of minimum wage, as if the job is nothing more than showing people to their seats. It's a safety critical role and isn't treated as such. It'll catch some club, some support base, soembody out one day.

I thought there might be problems when people went to get to their seats at the last minute. We left early and the concourse was rammed 15 minutes from ko time. Were they still as efficient at 2.55 when there would’ve been a mad rush of people trying to get to their seats at the same time?Or did they just allow people to go wherever they wanted?

Fantastic memory of a great day.If he turned the phone slightly to the left he would’ve spotted the Alf Garnett lookalike that is me stood next to Joe Hylton and his good lady, although I do make a brief appearance about 2 mins 10seconds from the end.
I’ll be available for autographs and photos at the brizzle game.

I don’t think so to be honest. Getting to half time 0-0 at Burnley was massive but we could have easily have gone in at least two down and then we’re at best three points and probably five or six worse off now. Thankfully we’ve stumbled over the line somehow but the lot of them with very few exceptions can fk off gladly.

Were they letting people pay on the day? Seemed to be a large queue outside, people with tickets were told to go further along.

There were lots of young children, many more than usual it seemed. Maybe that was down to the free coaches, if so what a great thing. Club please note.

I was a bit disappointed Armstrong not in squad, was he injured?

Our support was pretty good!

They said it was all ticket and none would be on sale on the day,but they were searching everyone on the way in,sometimes with metal detectors too so that would take time.

Thanks Malin .We’re of similar vintage! I agree we all show our emotions in different ways and people have endured a lot of crap this season but I can’t see how that kind of chanting is “support “ .It was quite vindictive and toxic and can’t be helpful to a group we already know have been weak, although maybe Gaz is slowly changing this . Each to their own but those chants , booing at half time and other stuff are too negative for my liking . Hope that’s all behind us now anyway!
