I saw a post on fb that we’ve only won 8 home games in over two years since October 2022,which is pretty horrendous considering that must be over 46+ games.A quarter of those came in April. Maybe we should be attacking the loft end in the 1st half rather than the 2nd because we seem to start games quite brightly before conceding the 1st goal.If we can ever score more than 1 goal in the 1st half we might actually win a game at home. It might also help if we play with a striker who can score a goal or two. |

I see that our women’s game was abandoned today. Was it weather related?Anyone on here that went and could inform the rest of us why it was abandoned? |

Steve Cooper sacked by Leicester after 12 games.Strange decision. |

Most people in the lower and upper loft could see that their player handles the ball before he puts it into the net,but how did Gavin Ward see it as you can’t really see it from the angle they show on the tv?And why did he wait so long before blowing his whistle? If he’d blown straight away, surely there would’ve been less drama from the Stoke players and fans about it. But I’m glad he finally did us a favour and disallowed it. |

I got 3 tickets for our women’s game at Loftus Road on Sunday that I can no longer use if anyone wants them?My daughter’s team were supposed to having a bye this Sunday, but it’s been changed to a Suffolk county cup game. They are in the 2nd or 3rd row of the west paddock, right by the dugout. They are totally free and I’d rather they were used than wasted. Send me a pm with an email address and I’ll send them straight over. |

I’ve just returned from a weekend of beer and German football. We started with a game on Saturday afternoon between SV Sandhausen and Archen, which saw a sending off after 2 minutes and resulted in a 4-0 win for the home side in front of a crowd of 4309. Sunday’s treat was Karlsruhe SC v Pressun Munster which ended in a 1-1 draw with the away side scoring with virtually the last kick of the game.A bumper crowd of 30,000 watched it. I’m sure that a lot of people on here have been to football in Germany, but if you’re looking for games with atmosphere, you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere in Europe better than this. All four sets of ultras sang their hearts out for 90 minutes solid and even the Saturday game was noisy enough. It was only the 2nd and 3rd divisions but there are some big teams down there. I can’t wait for the next trip, although I’ll make I wrap up the warmer next time. |

Has anyone seen the penalty conceded by Villa tonight? It was a short goal kick from Martinez towards Mings, who decided to stop it with his hand and try to give it to Martinez to retake.Bizarre isn’t the word. |

The latest edition of WSC has just dropped through my letterbox, and there is an article in there about our league cup triumph of 1967,which shows a picture of a group of our fans on the walk to Wembley.I guess some of our older fans might even recognise themselves in the photo. Being the first QPR supporter in my family and only being 6 years old meant that I couldn’t get there myself, but at least I can say that I’ve seen my team win a game at Wembley. If anyone wants to sneak a free peek in their local newsagent, the photo is on pages 24&25. Enjoy. |

We met a Norwegian couple in the white horse who were attending their first ever QPR match. You’ve got to feel sorry for them that they came all this way to witness that pile of crap. |

This is a bit like our game in 2012.I wonder if Rooney will blame Arsenal if they lose? |

I’ve just turned the spurs game on,and I have to say that their 3rd kit has got to be one of the worst kits in the history of football. It looks like something that painter and decorator would stick in the washing after a week’s hard graft. |

I’m just watching the badminton for dwarves on channel 4.Very quick and skilful game. I wonder if they have rugby 7’s for dwarves? And is Snow White the ref? |
| Forum Thread | Needham Market at 22:25 20 Aug 2024
Specially for you Clive.Tonight’s game between Needham Market and Scunthorpe was a 1-0 win for the away side, who looked the far superior side and won it with a harsh penalty slotted home by Danny Whitehall in about the 82nd minute. Both sides hit the woodwork, but Scunthorpe just about deserved the win. They have a lot of tall players and they a player whose long throws easily reached beyond the penalty spot and were very difficult for the home side to defend. The attendance was 900+ and there were about 350 from Scunthorpe.I’ve never seen police deployed at Needham Market before, but I guess that comes because of the step up to a higher level. These teams will probably be two divisions apart next season unless Needham can improve a fair bit. I did get a programme Clive if you want it.Not that theres much in it about the Iron.Home indoors with a cuppa by 10pm is a novelty for night games for me. |

The fixtures are out for the National league north and my local non league team,Needham Market are at home on August 20th to Scunthorpe Utd. It was only 13 years ago that they thumped us 4-1 in our championship winning season. Other former league sides to visit Needham this season include Darlington,Chester,Hereford and Southport. |

A great gesture by the club to give out the caps yesterday, but wouldn’t it have been better to do it at the wba game when they should be more qpr fans in the home stands rather than tourists there? I also heard stories of people breaking open the boxes and taking numerous caps, which left none for people arriving later. There are also a few going on eBay now for upwards of £30.I don’t know how the club can legislate for people taking more than they should, but making a profit out of them is wrong in my opinion. There was also a group of 6-8 blokes in the family stand who spent a fair chunk of the 2nd half drinking the ciders that they bought at halftime.I tried to buy a ticket for my own safe standing area and was blocked from buying one as it was designated a family zone,so how can 6-8 blokes buy in a family area? I don’t expect the casual stewards to step in and deal with it,but what has happened to the chief security staff at our stadium? |
| Forum Thread | Carrow road at 22:40 12 Jul 2024
I went to the women’s game at carrow road tonight and I noticed that their safe standing area goes all across the Barclay stand and also the corner stand opposite the away fans.Has this increased since last season as I don’t remember it being that big last November when we played up there? They won 2-1,but they should’ve scored more really, especially in the 1st half. |

I bought tickets for Neil Warnock’s show in Ipswich tomorrow night, and I wondered if any of my fellow Suffolk Rs are going along too.It was postponed from last year due to him getting another mangers job. I was tempted by the meet and greet but I thought the £90 was a bit steep.I wonder how many times he says tarabat? |
