Whatever happens, I think it will be a real loss to the game if there's no longer a place in English football for Steve Parish's magnificent barnet. The only reason I ever watch football on telly is to catch a glimpse of his flamboyant hairdo. In a conservative world of tidy, apologetic, corporate cuts, his big barnet has been like a breath of fresh (h)air. No idea how he made his money, but I'll be disappointed if it wasn't through a chain of successful hair salons in the Croydon/Bromley/Orpington triangle.
