Howdy all. Been ages since I've posted on here and I was amazed my old password still worked! Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said by others? Nothing. But I just wanted to come on here and say although I haven't been to many games in recent years due to now living in sunny Cornwall. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing currently! All I do know is it's incredibly distressing what's going on at our beloved QPR presently. Imo new blood is required from top to bottom at the club from next season regardless of which division we will be playing in. We have been stagnant now for too many years and drastic action is needed otherwise we will end up being another Leyton Orient. Keep up with the posts on here as I do enjoy a lurk. And ps Clive, great photos from yesterday and the one showing G A in despair in the dugout sums everything up presently 😥 |

Hi mate. I was sat right next to you today during the first half. Intended having more of a natter with you during the second, but hubby said there were 2 seats next to him which were spare and which were lower down so we moved further down for the second half. Just as well too from the aggro that was going on up there in that 2nd half! |
| Forum Thread | Cinderella will be going to the Promotion Ball after all at 22:49 29 Jul 2011
Cinderella is going to the QPR Promotion Ball next season after all. In fact, Cinderella and her Prince Charming will both be going thanks to some special family members that had a whip round for us. To be told this news on getting back from Devon today was just amazing. U rrrrrrrrrsssssssssaaaaaaa |

for those thinking of getting into more debt for the Rangers for their season tickets......been there, done it, bought the t-shirt etc. Don't do it as it's not worth it. Due to Stent obsession with supporting the Rangers over the years we ended up in danger of losing our home and had to take out an IVA (one step less from bankruptcy). Take it from me, it's not worth it. Now we have reached the golden heights of the Prem, you can always catch us on MOTD, or better still get a live feed on the net because trust me, nothing is worth having the 'boys' on your case 24/7 and being afraid to answer the door/phone all the sake of a football game. The current board don't give a shit for the fans (as did none of the others) and thankfully me and hubby have one year left under this awful debt repayment. I've never gone public before but feel the time is right to now do so. Don't do it folks, we'll prob be back in the championship in a year's time anyway, and the only reason I am forking out for our beautiful daughters who have gone through so much shit over the years because of their idiotic parents is because they deserve it! If you can afford it, then good luck to you, but please spare a thought for those that cannot, and stop the arrogant posts! Love you all. Best prob not to post when I am pissed on Bud and Black Tower Rose but honesty is the best policy so far as I am concerned xx |

They've reduced tickets to a tenner for adults for our game next week. Bet this only applies to home fans though? If I feel so inclined tomorrow I might give them a bell just to ask the question. |

Hello all. A friend rang me at 12.30pm asking if I had a ticket for today. I said no, but I was dropping the girls off and he said he had a ticket going spare in the W12 club if I were interested! Erm is the Pope Catholic? So a quick wash of the hair and pretty myself up and off we set. Parking was dodgy but managed to find a space in the smallest space possible down Juzza's old road and off to W12 club for me! I was shown my seat inside the restaurant and had chicken potatoes and veg. A bottle of wine was brought to my table but as I was on my own just had one glass as I was driving and didnt want to be over the limit no matter what happened. My mate bless him made sure I was ok and showed me where the seat was and whilst it was nice to have some food (I genuinely hadn't eaten all day) I was just so grateful to be at the game where our beloved R's went 8 points clear with about 12 games to go this season. I would officially like to state here and now that I am in love with Adel. He certainly knows how to play the opposition and officials. Though Paddy was my motm. When Miller's goal went in I would bet my bottom dollar that Hammersmith shopping center heard the roar as it did a go a tad mental when he scored with 2 mins to go. Absolutely brilliant and I can't wait for Millwall on Tuesday. I may have had a few glasses of Rose to celebrate this evening but just want to say thanks you to everyone on this m/board for the good and bad times over the years. Hopefully we are now going to have more good times and drunk though I may sound, I love you all x The R's are going up :dancing: A few photos from today are available to see on the link below though I'm no David Bailey. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2079427&id=1303663542&l=194049bd94 |

Too many of the blighters at HQ today. "I'll definitely come again. Might try South Africa next time" "Is that the old Loft?" "Guess he must be an ex QPR player" (regarding Camp) "How long is the break?" And that's without all the tourist types around us in Ellerslie. Miserable cooowwwwwwww aren't I? |

Decided only a couple of days before yesterday's game to throw caution to the wind and attend what is a rare away game for me these days. Don't know why I chose Bristol when it was live on Sky HD and I could have been comfy at home watching it. but hey ho. Glad I went too. As others on here have commented it wasn't a bad display, we were just lacking with the final ball on several occasions and I could not understand the decision to play Mackie on the wing in the first half? When City scored their goal I reckon the whole of Bristol must have heard the cheering from the home fans, and to be fair it was a classic counter attack by them, just a shame from our point of view as we should have been a couple up by then anyway. As the second half progressed I must admit, I did have doubts that we would score, even though we had plenty of the ball. The relief when that ball hit the back of the net was indescribeable (sp?) and it's fair to say we all went mental celebrating it, esp those of us at the front :-) So, no matter what happens this weekend we at least stay top for another week. It was an enjoyable night and the game was played at a high tempo. Thank goodness for that supersub (ala Derby) and carry on you beautiful R's :-) There's a link here to a few photos from last night for those not on facebook etc. Bit blurry some of them but then I've always been rubbish at taking photos. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2064811&id=1303663542&l=375752de57 |

So there I was, lazing in bed this morning, have a read of my book whilst giving half a thought to those on their way up to Sheffield, when my phone rings and turns out it's the box office at QPR. A couple of days ago I'd sent off for a couple of Scunthorpe tickets using the Sun's £9.50 offer per ticket for two tickets to a match of your choice in the football league (desperate times, desperate measures and all that haha). I'd already rung the box office to enquire about it and was told to just fill out the coupon and send a cheque etc. Anyway, the girl says to me that the cheque was a little bit short and that I owed them 50p. I was a bit puzzled and said did I? I mean, I know I failed my cse in maths all those years ago but even I can work out that 2 x £9.50 comes to the grand sum of £19. I was then informed that QPR are actually charging 25p each more per ticket at £9.75 so after a bit of umming and ahhing (do you want to hang onto the tickets til I pick them up next Saturday and then pay you 50p I asked?) I was asked to pay it from my card so they can send the tickets out? So off I went running downstairs in my jimjams to fetch my card and pay the 50p. When Leon asked me afterwards what was I running out of bed for and I told him, he commented typical of Ali Russell and the like to do their scrooge bit even with something like this LOL. Well, it certainly gave us a giggle |
| Forum Thread | Quick thanks at 10:39 24 Jul 2010
Just a quick word to say a big thank you to everyone that contributed (donations, auctions, lending of equipment etc) towards Sarah's World Challenge trip to Morocco. The time has now arrived for her departure (leaving early Sunday am) where for two weeks she'll be trekking across the mountains and desert, as well as partaking in a project in which their team will be renovating a small community school. Many thanks to everyone that's helped and sent encouragement etc. Here's hoping their team (15 of them) have a great time, even if, as a parent, I am somewhat nervous now that the time has arrived!
