May well be the case, bookies seem to have special dispensation to do what they like compared to others in society.
I was recently banned by a Liverpool bookmaker for winning too much, I was winning small amounts because they wouldn't take any sizable bets, their prices were poor but they were offering regular promotions near enough everyday on World cup matches which I would take advantage of, they didn't like it, bookies want it all their way, they take people's money but don't like paying out . |

They said in their email that their trading department regularly reviews customer accounts, in accordance with their website terms and conditions they recognised that it might be unwelcome news to me and that I could appeal in writing to their Head of Sportsbook for a final review if I so wished.
They don't want any customers that can beat them, bookies want it all one way, not an honourable profession to be involved with. |  |

You also wouldn’t be informed by email for shop activity (you also wouldn’t be banned, only limited).

You said it was for betting their promotional odds. That’s promo abuse and nothing to do with smart betting, there are limits to how much you can get on promos anyway for that reason.
You would never be banned from a bookmaker for promo abuse, only banned from promos. Especially if you say their odds aren’t great outside of promos, you are encouraged to bet them.
Head of Sports will never be dealing with low level activity such as this, we have risk teams who will be vetting clients. The likes of us only step in and make decisions on clients that bet millions and have a genuine effect on global companies bottom line.

Why advertise enhanced bets only to stop people that take them up on those bets, they don't say we will offer an enhanced bet every day of the World cup but you can only have one offer.

Because they all work with the same sort of parameters once you get to exec level, our thousands wouldn’t consist of trading, or high level operators. It would be cleaners, casino clerks, baristas, IT, client services etc etc etc
