Am I the only one finding it weird that there's very few names being linked despite the window shutting the day after tomorrow?
Maybe the club is doing a good job of keeping the targets quiet but I still find it rather strange especially considering we are being told that there will be lots of business going on. |  |

Could be another Winter of discontent.
The last Winter of discontent ended badly with the manager not getting the players he deserved to get to secure the promo push (he got some yank misfits instead, the death knell of our promo push, ........and beyond).
Winter's display in the Martin presser was shambolic, cringeworthy, amateurish and the most overly defensively weak presser from a Club CEO I have ever witnessed.
In Winter, we can't possibly trust.

Norwich were 22nd with -6 gd at this point in Farke's first season. Had conceded 4 twice.
It's too early to panic. Especially when half our starters have been getting over covid. |

You can pick out any club that loses over x amount of games and improves, but it’s very much the exception as opposed to the rule.
You can even go to the likes of Leicester and say “Leicester were in the relegation zone at Xmas then won the Premier League next year”.

Selectively showing an example of a team starting badly who went on to success after some excellent investment and £65m worth of youth products coming through isn’t really a shining light to show we are on the right track. It’s very much a rarity.
If we held on to “team x did ok and they were rubbish until whatever date” then you can keep saying that until we are in League 2.

My view is simple.
Those that do talk in these instances are keeping quiet.
The reason ?
There’s a lot of false information being put out, and to catch a few loose lips that information is planned to be inaccurate. When it leaks those few get caught. It’s the oldest trick in the book.
Huw did it all the time and bagged a few.
