The pubs may well not have been in the Swansea vicinity, if you travelled from further afield, and had a sneaky one en route, or may have been regular matchday jaunts. That's the man, a clever inside forward for the Swans, late sixties early seventies. Always frequented the Clarence, but the last couple of years at the Vetch, used to call in the Orange House first

Correct, also played for the Swans: BRIAN GREY Former Welsh Schoolboy midfielder Brian Grey played for Swansea in the 1969 Welsh Cup final. Locally born, he signed professional at the Vetch Field in September 1966 and made his League debut in Swansea's 1-1 draw at home to Exeter a year later. He was a member of Swansea's 1969-70 promotion winning squad and netted eight goals in 30 League games prior to joining Yeovil Town in July 1970. Helping them win the Southern League title and reach the FA Cup third round in 1970-71, he joined Folkestone in July 1972, then played for Merthyr Tydfil.

We then all left a bit at a time out of the side door and all got taxis to Neath during the fair to meet cardiff fans coming back from an away game ! totally random weird day/night

Great little pub, especially for afters, The Badminton. I had a few slurps in there with Terry Williams, drummer with Dire Straits and many other bands. He played cricket for them, excellent wicketkeeper.
