frequent on the way to watching The Mighty Swans at The Vetch Field? The pubs may well not have been in the Swansea vicinity, if you travelled from further afield, and had a sneaky one en route, or may have been regular matchday jaunts.

I'll start with an obvious one, and await the more obscure:

(1). The Builders

Yes, I know just saying it's original name, I can remember it being halfway up penygraig road

There's houses now where the old Fairfield Club used to be. A great old place to drink, and the atmosphere was never the same when it was rebuilt on Townhill Road.

Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎

The Clarence it was across from the club shop, and the Paxton was a bit further down to the seafront

Ah yeah that was the Clarence, cheers. Remember having a few out the front there before a game towards the end of the vetch days.

That's exactly how I remember Boro fans that day they used to be all or nothing on previous visits to the vetch but fair play to them to travel all that way by train and not be fazed by Swans fans or the OB, a very tight bunch of fans mainly in their mid/late 20's who didn't give a feck who or what was in front of them.

Good summing up....they were a proper bunch of hard cases. Remember them well.
