I've got a right good old winge!!!. Last Friday I went out with work colleagues to Yates, then all of a sudden halfway into the night, the three girls who joined us started getting all fussy over me, saying things like in the nicest person they got to work with, while at the same time talking to me in a different voice tone and pattern from other people. Their stupid smiles and voice tones, make me think it's all a lie and must think of me as some eccentric person.
When I got back home, I complained to my other half and told her the whole night, and workfriends behaviour reminded me of the Radiohead song "Fake Plastic Smiles", only for the girlfriend to start laughing and exclaim "Don't you mean 'Fake Plastic Trees'!!?".
At least it all ended on a funny note, but God, please don't ever make me a centre of attention again!. Stupid "workfriends", no more nights out with them EVER. Only one of them talks to me like an adult and that person is the only well-spoken one there. | | | |
