This jackarmy site on 22:07 - Feb 9 by Gretsch | I am talking of the Laudrup gang, and the Monk hating gang, anf the Sumbler haters etc., and those with agendas to be leaders that no one necessarily wants. In who else do we trust, we have a chairman who is a fan of the club, many/most of the executive are fans or people who put their hands in their picket to save us, and we have a trust who are obviously fans. Money can easily corrupt but I would rather have what we have rather than a Risdale or an Ashleigh etc. |
To be fair, anybody that isn't a happy clappy nodding seal no matter what is accused of having some sort of agenda. The point being of course that this chairman fan of the club is in talks to sell to a Riddler and Mike Ashley type. On thejackarmy.net site a trust board member has joined and categorically stated that it is nit an investment but a share sale. That is worrying. The exchange? Cheap loans.

Obviously know more than me, so the investor is an untrustworthy type then, on what basis. Not saying your wrong but not read into it as much as you obviously have.

And to be fair if you say you have confidence in the board you are subordinate or as you say "happy claper" same both ways. [Post edited 9 Feb 2015 22:23]

John Moores is the American we all refer to. He owned the San Diego Padres baseball side. When he left he ensured as part of the deal he kept $200m of the Padres TV rights money.

This jackarmy site on 21:29 - Feb 9 by Gretsch | People want to remember who the trust were when we weren't A billy big bollucks club, when you had to pay to join the trust if you wanted to. To help the swans keep their 20% because you wanted to help the club and it was only a few seasons ago. People like Phil (who I don't know and have never met) were in fairness bothered to get off their arse and do whatever they could to HELP the club, I was happy to hand over my tenner and sell my raffles and sit on my arse, so I am greatful to people who put in an effort. Some people just disrespect or can't remember the past. But all to their own opinions. |
Exactly, and fair play to Phil for not taking the bait laid down by some of those so called concerned fans.

No there isn't, you are being a drama queen. There is a clear clash of thought - is the factual statement been made. Who knows if it affects his business with the Trust, he may not even consciously know. He is supposed to be making decisions and working solely with the interest of the fans... Yet has a yearly paycheque coming from the other side. If you cant see that is a clash of thought then i despair. Its like saying it is wrong for Nathan Dyer to bet on the opposite outcome of a match he is involved in. Nobody is suggesting he is throwing the match, but it is wrong to put yourself in that scenario where your focus isn't solely on the side you are employed by, and there is a clash of thought. No, I'm not saying that either. You seem determined to put words in my mouth for whatever reason. Im saying there is a clash of thought. Just as there would be if one of our players placed a bet on Swansea to lose. Is there wrong doing apart from creating that clash of thought? Who knows. But it is wrong to be in that position when you have this clash of thought. So if thats wrong doing then yes. [Post edited 10 Feb 2015 2:11]

If one of our players placed a bet on us to lose it would be against FA rules so your analogy is nonsense.
