The Blue Anchor is still there in Penclawd Dicky, as you come round the last bend and onto the straight its about 500yrds down, think there was a Blue Anchor Country club at one time and that's gone now I think.

When I saw that you had posted on a pub thread, I immediately thought you were going to have a moan about the price of a bottle of Peroni

Maybe its a bit further down than I think then, as I clearly remember seeing a pub on a corner called the Blue Anchor there's a road going up on the right of it with a bit of greenier on other side of that rd, its not to far from the Rugby club, noticed it on August Bank Holiday on our way down to the Greyhound. Just Googled it, its 0.73 miles past the Royal Oak.

No, it was near the old bus garage as was, Wilkos now, tiny little pub, I'm pretty certain all came down with development of the Quadrant and the Grand Theatre extension.
