Oh noooooooooooooo, please no!! It was great at the time but.....nooooo. What was the bar by the multi storey, on Craddock street I think, it was down stairs. Can't think of it for the life of me. All the hooligans used to go in there before they went to the Queens. Ah the Queens, I had some truly scary moments in there in the 80's!!

It was nowhere near the castle; it was on Oxford Street and it was staffed by two barmen, both called Arthur. Big Arthur smoked as he poured and always had ash on his suit jacket (Yes, suit!); Little Arthur used to try and pull any woman who foolishly stepped in there. Also the Station, as mentioned above. Darts in the back bar.
Memory lane, Swansea pubs. on 17:46 - Sep 29 with 10358 views | jack247 | Made me feel old reading that 😕. The Bear (Knab Rock at the time) was the first pub I could regularly get in. They had a doorman called Alan who used to let you in if he thought no one was looking. If he thought someone was, he told you to go up the side alley and in the back door (where they charged you £1 or something). Of course the police didn't really care, because Mumbles was jumping at the time and they preferred having the underage drunks in one place rather than roaming the village. When I got a bit older, the Antelope became my favourite pub. Something going on there now, I hope they are refurbishing it like the Pilot rather than than making it into flats. Never went to the Osbourne much, but they had the best outside drinking views in Swansea outside of the pub in Rhosili. Preferred the Potters Wheelor the Wyndham to the Garibaldi on match days, but I remember the atmosphere there' being electric Every time the sun was out and they were selling cans for people to drink outside. The Bush is now an opticians I think

Looking back, it must have been a nightmare for our parents. They must have spent every Saturday parked at the end of the pier for Cinders, at Bracelet Bay for Neptunes or if they were very unlucky and we decided to go to Castaways, down at Caswell. All of the places which let us in when we were 15/ 16 or so were miles away, and as a group of girls, we always had someone's Dad picking us up. I still remember one of my friends who was always on some stupid drink or another, ordering rounds of Blue Lagoons in Cinderellas while everyone else was on the snakebites.

I loved that place, it might have changed to the Celtic Pride by the time I could legally have a pint but my parents were regulars (almost every night!) Saw it go from Sammy Jo's, then Uncle Sams, then the Celtic Pride. I've still got a few of the American licence plates lying around, and the Coca Cola chalk board for putting names down on the pool table! (Anything that was up for grabs on the last night of Uncle Sams!!!) If I ever won the Euromillions, I would put that place straight back!

Bentleys was in the arcade at halfway up Newton Road, I thought the Village was always a bar? The Village has been up for sale on and off for a few years now, it's a bit of confusing place, more a restaurant than pub, bit of both and neither at the same time... Nice food though!

Yep, very nice lady although her name has escaped me (Sue?) ... She has been there for a good few years and it's a lovely restaurant, just gets muddled between people having a meal, and folks who just want a drink.

Was the Burrows Arms the one right down the bottom where La Brasserie etc is now. If it is, used to go in there when I was around 15 (this would have been around 1976). It was where all the tramps and alcoholics went. Was minging, we used to drink in the small pool room at the back. They would take any ones money. There was also a pub on the corner opposite where Fridays is now. What was that called
