Match thread on 20:42 - Feb 18 with 9397 views | boromat | Burton have come to spoil. 10 men behind the ball very compact and work hard. Ref is one sided, seems you have to hit the floor to be fouled. Their goal came after a potential offside and handball that weren't given. Have to be a ground out result to get anything. Being forced to go direct to.

No Daleplayer at present but Burton commentary working ok. If you're in Sheffield can you not get BBC Radio Derby which is broadcasting the Burton commentary? I'm pretty sure i can get it here in Rotherham but its working online for me so i havent bothered. EDIT. Just come back on for the 2nd half [Post edited 18 Feb 2014 20:49]

Match thread on 22:25 - Feb 18 with 8543 views | D_Alien | At the end of the season, this could well be a vital point gained, and if truth be told, we were lucky to get it. Burton were sharper than us and very well organised. It's time to re-introduce Cav. He brings a much needed passion and impetus to our play that's lacking at times. JK is doing a job but it's far too pedestrian and allows decent opposition too much time to retain their shape. Neither Hogan, Henderson or Done were able to impose themselves which meant we were relying on scraps, and I guess if anyone is going to provide scraps it's Georgie. Rose - who is worth his place in tandem with Done on the left - is a waste of a player in the middle of the park. Unfortunately we looked unbalanced and there was no outlet from the back by way of an attacking midfielder. 1-1 on the night, but 0-1 to the Burton manager. [Post edited 18 Feb 2014 22:28]

Rose started centrally with Hendo and Vincenti wide, but was much more effective when out wide in the second half with three good crosses in a short period of time. When he went back into the centre afterJK was subbed he was ineffective again and Cavanagh would hav been a better option. Give Rose a rest now we know Done is used to his role and Vincenti can play ahead of him. Burton defended well and managed Hogan well, plus their wide men were great outlets and Rafferty had a tough night. Alexander is a wily campaigner at this level and although they weren't pretty, they deserved their point. A good one for us too, we've lost too many games like that previously.

Match thread on 23:00 - Feb 18 with 8325 views | irisaln | Negative tactics again by KH. during a home match is unacceptable. Starting once more with Hogan up front on his own with little support against another team playing a high line in defence. He finishes the game however with three strikers on and the man of the match subbed. With due respect, Kennedy is not a shadow of the player that left us for Bradford and that is why he was not catching the Bradford team. I have not yet made my mind up about Rose but I would prefer Jamie Allen in that midfield position. Vincente on the right, Hendo on the left as in the second half is as it should be. I want to see Cavanna back in front of the back four. Dale have made hard work of these last two home games. It was a chance missed tonight to get to second spot in league 2.
Match thread on 23:00 - Feb 18 with 8323 views | Tiki_Beach | I see it as a point gained. We came up against a well organised team who seemed to be that bit sharper than us, especially in the middle. Feel as though we did enough to earn the point but it says something about the oppositions tactics when Jack O'Connell arguably touched the ball more than anyone else tonight! Hendo struggled to get into the game and I think we struggled to really gather momentum at any one period in the game. On a side note kenny Jackett was in the crowd again tonight - probably keeping an eye on Ismail whilst taking in Hogans performance. Also, no Bennett, Cummins, Hery or Bunney on the bench tonight?

They weren't on the bench on Saturday either, but that says a lot about the strength of our squad.

'Negative' tactics at home are unacceptable? Why is setting up to not get beat a negative? Hill said earlier in the season that we aim to finish games well. Which we did, to a certain extent. High line? They certainly didn't play a high line. Sharps + Sheriff haven't got the pace to play a high line against the likes of Hogan. That was a decent point in a game that could have gone either way.
