Brendan Rodgers on 20:56 - Oct 4 by perchrockjack | Liverpool clearly now lack class. Rodgers was a poor choice, let's be honest |
They've lacked class since the Suarez incident - that told you everything you need to know about the club at this point in time.

Brendan Rodgers on 19:34 - Oct 4 by Landore_Jack | Brendan has been reckless with Liverpool's transfer budget. Can you imagine him with our small budget? Would you trust him with player recruitment? |
Yeah, he really struggled with our small budget last time around didn't he? FFS the bloke got contributions from Luke Warm and Leroy Lita and got Danny Graham into double figures. He also got us to the promised land.

He also knowingly signed a contract to ensure we had compensation when he went. Whereas Roberto...

Got to agree with that. In my experience anyway. I've never seen a bloke engage disinterested, non football playing London estate teenagers in the way he did when I took a group down to Llandarcy in 2011. It was a couple of days before the Norwich game (which we won 3 - 0), yet he had all the time in the world for us.

What was the name of that useless bloke we had from West Ham on loan? Was it Nouble or something similar?

Brendan Rodgers on 19:45 - Oct 4 by londonlisa2001 | I've been following us for 40 years and I find it amusing. I thought he did great for us as manager (obviously) but didn't like him as a person when he was here and don't like him now. Perhaps if he'd ever said 'thank you Swansea for what you did for me' rather than try to take credit for the 3 or 4 managers before him, I would have liked him more. If he comes back to us ever - that's fine - I don't find it necessary to like our managers. I certainly don't feel the need to fawn over them for ever. But I also don't feel the need to bear a grudge either just because they go (same with players). I would take Martinez back before him though (purely on management grounds). |
I'd take Cullis back before the slimeball.

Brendan Rodgers on 19:55 - Oct 4 by Nookiejack | I think Liverpool generate about £255m a season and don't you need to net off player sales like Suarez and Sterling off this figure http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/premier-league-clubs- They do appear to be living in fantasy land though as can't compete financially with Man City, Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal (since Emirates has been paid off). They had to keep Suarez - he was only player that could have revived their fortunes and kept them in Champions League with associated revenue. Their current players are just not good enough. That thread the other day on here saying that half of Swamsea players would get in a combined Liverpool / Swansea team - was probably correct - which you wouldn't say about all the other top teams. Which sums it up as for me comes down to quality of your players....and they just don't have enough money to buy top quality players that will separate them from rest of League - enabling them to challenge for top 4. So whoever is their new manager will struggle. Especially as they are trying to finance their stadium expansion as well. |
It's £106million over three years which is f*ck all.

I agree. Leaving aside his personal life and his failure as far as Liverpools board/ fans are concerned. I found him very curtious, interested in the individual fans, particularly the young fans. A decent man manager of our squad, and brought me one very happy day at Wembley. He wrote some wonderful words on The Trust Box set that was presented to Gareth and I on a very special wedding anniversary. It would be kind if some of us remembered his better atributes. Brendan Rodgers on 08:48 - Oct 5 with 1311 views | Landore_Jack | Analysis by chief football writer Phil McNulty At the heart of Rodgers' demise at Liverpool was a failed, flawed recruitment policy that saw nearly £292m spent since his arrival in the summer of 2012 - but most of the world-class talent he possessed walk out of the door.
