Trump v Zelensky 19:22 - Feb 28 with 6247 viewsDrewster

Absolutely bizarre scenes in the Oval Office today, staggering.
Trump and his VP clearly had a plan to ambush him, but to do it so publicly was bad form.

Zelensky should have decked the orange c unt and pissed on his bloated whale carcass. And shat in Vance’s gob and let him choke on it.

I've never seen anything like it. Where will the world be by the next Presidential Election (Nov 2028...atm...)?

Will there be a world?...

Trump and Vance were talking to him like he was a child and wanted him to grovel and beg to them.

Vance said “say ‘thank you’ say ‘thank you’”… this is a form of coercive control. I had flashbacks to when an old girlfriend threatened me in order to say “sorry” for something (I hadn’t done). I realised then it was all about control rather than whatever i was meant to apologise for, that didn’t matter. Didn’t last long and nor will this.

“You come to the Oval Office and disrespect us….” total ambush.

Trump has no interest in facts, just over exaggerates everything for impact. Keeps saying they’ve provided $350billion in aid when it’s not even half that. What they have provided is good, without doubt, but get it right at least.

Gets dates wrong, says in started (Crimea) in 2015 and had to be reminded, twice i think, it was 2014.

Whatever people’s view on the whole situation in Ukraine is, you cannot have world leaders behaving like this, its appalling. They are effectively trying to force him out. You then had Lindsay Graham wading in afterwards.

Trump is putting words into Zelenskys mouth by suggesting he doesn’t want peace. What’s really going on here is whatever form peace comes in, it has to be on Trumps terms and to Trumps benefit.
Thats why Lindsay Graham was saying afterwards that he “did not believe Zelensky should have brought up ceasefires or security concerns ahead of the deal.” Of course not, they want to sign a deal on their terms only before any of that is discussed so it becomes void by then.

Unless there’s some big turnaround somewhere, Zelenksky will have lost the US support and have to decide to continue without it or stand down and let someone else do it, but they’ll just end up being a Trump puppet.

and there was me hoping that this subject would be kept off this forum so that we can concentrate on QPR related issues!

Zelensky wasn't given the opportunity to speak, he was continually interrupted by two verbal bullies.

Putin's next move will be yet another dreadful drone attack with impunity.

And the rest of the World us included will sit there and say ''oh dear''

If there Is a god then let him bless the poor people of Ukraine.

Bullies drunk on power behaving like bullies, bullying a man who has shown more personal courage and done more for his country than they could ever comprehend. Total scum. I can't wait for the day Trump dies.

I watched it on my PC before the 6 o'clock news. I still am rubbing my eyes in disbelief.

I had been thinking a lot of Trumps rhetoric could be ignored as tactics to find the right resolution.

But this was actually frightening.

Behaviour of bullies and hard from an outside perspective that the American nation are in support of this man and all his entourage also.

Whilst in this country we are all getting our knickers in a twist about jokes that Gino D'campo has said ten years ago.

There are not a lot of grown ups in charge of the world today.....

I'm relieved to see one world leader stand up to him and the leaders of the rest of western Europe subsequently expressing their continued support for the Ukrainian fight to keep their freedom.

I would suggest that the public ambush was pre planned. Seemingly Trump doesn’t want to fund the Ukraine to the same extent that Biden did.

Be interesting to see how the European Leaders react to this, still unilaterally supporting the Ukraine without the support of the USA?

I'm astonished, it's a shock to me as I spent years working at the American Embassy cigarette company.

Did they buy the printed filter paper from a company in Somerset (or thereabouts) called Imperial Tobacco? (again, or similar name… it was over 35 years ago!)
If so, I worked at the ink company that sold them the ink! It was astonishing how much ink was used each week and i tried to calculate how many cigarettes it produced and the number was staggering. Each and every week.

Purin's next step will be over running Ukraine then, just like Hitler with Czechoslovakia in the late 30s, he'll turn his eyes to the Baltic states. All 3 are now in NATO?

Reflect on that and be scared.

Trump had his orders from Putin to ensure Zelensky has to resign. This was a hit job to get that done for Vlad.
He'll fall out of a hotel window pretty soon.

All guess work at the moment as we don't know how things will pan out.

It is however highly likely that the Ukraine will lose more territory to Russia and as you say if he gets away with that then Putin will start looking at other countries.

China could easily start the same with Taiwan and The Philippines.

Such a shame that what Mikhail Gorbachev started has been all but lost, Putin has put Russia back in to a cold war. Russia is a huge country with a large population and many natural resources. It really should be competing with China on the world manufacturing and economic stage rather than concern itself with expansion.

Probably the best way of looking at this is who is happiest with the outcome of today? It's not Trump or Zelensky, it's Putin. That's...not great.
