Honestly the hard done penalty and chasing led to the third goal. *grumbles* but if we can keep up this type of playing we should be able to right the ship I'd think

The Official Swansea City Versus Man City *PREMIER LEAGUE* Match Thread on 16:54 - Sep 24 with 1543 views | AnotherJohn | We had our moments in this game, but were undone by an unsympathetic ref and a couple of moments of naivety. We were flattered by the 1-2 in the week, but I thought 1-3 today was harsh.

Lots of plus points, VDH and Amat looked pretty solid, Llorente's lay offs and goal, and some decent midfield passing. I'd still like to see the pace of Barrow and Montero for far longer in a game but feeling far more optimistic for the rest f the season. No Giggs for me btw.

if we ALWAYS CHOKE against the mid table sides we wouldn't be enjoying our 5 season at the top level.

The Official Swansea City Versus Man City *PREMIER LEAGUE* Match Thread on 17:21 - Sep 24 with 1132 views | jackrabbit | Don't want to eulogise too much over what was after all a defeat, but today was encouraging. Shows we're capable of playing a bit. The main differences I think were that the centre back partnership looked much more solid and comfortable and that Llorente started to look like a player. We've seen flashes of Llorente but I thought today he had an edge to his game that made us look much more potent in attack. Also I thought that the much maligned Routledge and Naughton had good games. As I said below, Fer is tenacious and mobile, with good ball control and an eye for space but he needs to improve his passing. Gylfi also wasted lots of ball but looked much better than his previous games - perhaps he's getting back to form. We need Gylfi on top of his game. All in all, very encouraging. I trust that management have noted that we look much better on the front foot. We looked equal to a top-drawer Man City side for periods today, but their class was just a bit too much for us in the end. Let's attack teams. It's what we do best.
The Official Swansea City Versus Man City *PREMIER LEAGUE* Match Thread on 17:26 - Sep 24 with 1086 views | londonlisa2001 | Played really well - game changed on that ridiculous penalty decision. VDH has to stay in the team, and Britton again made a huge difference. Thought Naughton on the left with Rangel on the right looked better than any other full back pairing we've seen. Most of all, that team was definitely playing for the manager - not a chance he has lost the players that turned out today - they couldn't have tried harder. Don't get any sense that we lack fitness either - yes, we fell off a bit, but all teams do playing Man City as their ability to pass is exceptional. Started to get a sense this week of what Guidolin is trying to do and it isn't negative in the slightest. He has to be given longer to see how this set is goes against teams that aren't going to walk the league. Be happy to see the same team next week.

The Official Swansea City Versus Man City *PREMIER LEAGUE* Match Thread on 17:48 - Sep 24 with 912 views | costalotta | That penalty decision was ridiculous especially given we a similar call and later a similar situation on the touch line with Aguero and play waved on. A much improved performance and again against one of the bigger teams but we need to repeat it against all sides. The pairing of VDH and Amat did well I thought and even though we conceded three goals they deserve to start the next game. Brits did what he does and kept us ticking over and cannot be blamed for their third. We were pressing and always going to be open a counter attack. Better to lose trying to win IMO. Was that team playing for the manager? Without doubt! They gave their all along with the crowd too IMO. From where I sit in the west it sounded great. couldn't have tried harder. Is FG going to get more time? Not sure, the daggers are in close proximity it seems. This run of fixtures was always going to be tough, lets see how It goes against the so called lesser sides. The problems for me at the club are rooted elsewhere IMO. Anyway, onwards!
