Remain With or Leave the EU on 19:00 - Jun 23 by londonlisa2001
I've always thought the best place to go for an education in economics is a bunch of computer tech guys that run an American anti climate change web site to be honest so I'm looking forward to being enlightened.
Which is why I gave you a Nobel prize winning economist to listen to. We are certainly not anti climate change as the climate always has and will always change.

Yougov are releasing polling results at 10pm. It's not an exit poll but is a poll taken today.
But your point stands unless it's much less close than we think in which case it'll be obvious earlier.
Do you remember last May when the exit poll came out and we were all on here like "well that's clearly rubbish"? Then word came through of a you gov poll that confirmed the hung parliament we all expected and insisted was still going to happen. They're using the same methodology tonight, contacting people they've previously polled to ask them how they actually voted. I know you won't anyway but I'd pay that no heed at all.
I still think the result could be close. Very close. We'll see, my predictions are usually terrible.
REMAIN! REMAIN!! REMAIN!!!
Sorry, I came over all funny then. It's gonna be an entertaining aftermath whatever happens.
'The simple reality is that we are facing a period of extraordinary upheaval akin to that of roughly 200 years ago, when the industrial revolution swept across the Western world. Our revolution is not founded on railways and factory chimneys but on globalisation and automation.
As consumers, these twin forces will be an extraordinary boon. Competition to provide goods and services will be on a planet-wide scale, driving down prices and driving up quality. But as workers, the same forces will threaten our positions in the workplace as never before. Huge numbers of jobs will be part or wholly automated. That same global competition will ensure that it will be tougher than ever to get the “human” roles that remain.
The EU referendum is largely a substitute for a much bigger argument that will shape the next decades: How on earth are vast numbers of going to make a living now? Mediating (for which read “applying with humanity”) these forces — globalisation and automation — is the primary duty of government today and will be for many years to come. But there is no silver bullet. Voting to Leave or Remain the EU may feel like just the ticket. It will not be. Globalisation and automation will continue to chew up the landscape.'

My prediction total opposite to you! LEAVE! LEAVE! LEAVE!
Guesswork on my behalf?.....Yes! I just have a vibe there are a lot of 'shy-Brexiters' out there too afraid to admit so for fear of being wrongly branded xenophobic or racist. Shy Brexiters are like the shy Tory voters of the last general election.
I have not voted because I cannot make up my mind, the negative project-fear campaigning etc i.e. damned if we do, damned if we don't. I did find today news of last years U.K population increase of 500,000 terryfying. How long can the U.K sustain year-on-year numbers to a point where services will be close to/or collapse?
Argus!

Ah, but you gave us that one. Not one of the other 75 winners.
I'm hoping that you have a sufficient economic education to tell us why that was the one that is right?

Ah! But I took my own indelible one in with me, that'll confuse them.
You're right!
Have to laugh - for weeks Farage has been telling us all about the strength of the UK security services and today we hear that their best laid plans can be foiled with a pen !

Is this an actual thing or just Twitter being, well, Twitter? I fear for the sanity of some of the brexiters I follow (and there are loads) if the vote doesn't go their way.

Hilariously it seems to have started as a real thing and now Twitter has taken over as only Twitter can.

Trending on Twitter at the moment #usepens
Why, a sane person may wonder? Well apparently those favouring Brexit are worried (quite genuinely in some cases) that a pencil may be rubbed out!
With that in mind, we should presumably be expecting the results sometime in August, what with 'MI5' having to rub out votes and redo them :-)
Btw - something for the tinfoil brigade to worry about - 'they' don't need to change your vote you know, just invalidate it, and they can do that by also putting a pen mark in the other box as well. And that's a lot quicker than rubbing out pencil marks.
#fix #worried #NWO #illuminati #barkingmad
I used a pen, but to be doubly sure I took my polling card home with me. There's no way those f@ckers from MI5 are changing my vote!

Not my words but definitely my sentiments
friday's going to be amazing! i'm going to wake up in my Union Jack jim-jams to the sound of a squadron of Spitfires racing overhead and leaving a trail of hot buttered crumpets behind them
I'll run to the corner shop past all the british children who are laughing and squealing with excitement as they make a beautiful statue of the queen out of happy wriggling bulldog puppies - with two corgis for her eyebrows!
bunting flutters everywhere and the man from the betting shop steps into the street - "guess what! England just won the World Cup & The Ashes & The Grand National and here's the best bit - Boris put a bet on it for everyone! you're all MILLIONAIRES!!!"
the red arrows fly overhead dropping fish and chips as i walk into the corner shop, get my morning paper and go to the counter. "how much please?" i say to the asian lad there. "1 pence, everything in the whole shop now costs just 1p!" he laughs, "leave it on the counter, i'm off back to pakistan - we all are!"
and he's right! outside in the streets jolly old nigel farage is leading a huge crowd of happy foreigners - turks, poles, romanians, syrians - there's even a few English people with heavy suntans mixed up in there! nigel's playing Rule Britannia on a long pipe, rather like the pipe that takes the gas into your oven, and they're all following and smiling and talking foreign, bless them!
just then boris flies overhead in a concorde made of Bank of England gold - "don't worry!" he laughs "I've cut out all the bits the French made!" and with that he crashes into the ground at 1200 miles an hour, along with the economy, the country and all the dozy nostalgic foreigner-fearing f*ckwits who fell for his bullshit.
grow up. wake up.
