Bony's Message To Swans Fans? 09:06 - Feb 9 with 11692 viewsPhil_S

Wilfried Bony's reaction after scoring the Swans third goal yesterday evening was one I believe of defiance against some press reports that surfaced this week following the sacking of Michael Laudrup.

The word twist is, did I say we should hand the league cup back, did I say that the league cup was not important?
You said "Maybe we'd better hand the League Cup back. " that is a "strawman arguement".
Funny I didn't notice Bony's contribution to that win though which is who we were talking about.

But lets go back to that early performance that you quoted including cups
6 goals in 9 games
against Michu's
7 in 9 Games.
Michu who was not even classed as a striker cost £2m.
I notice that you are bandying about striker signings for comparison, Defoe was on offer at £6m also scored 7 goals in 9 games and has gone on to score 10 this season.

But you are obviously right so silly me, I will bow to your god like ability to recognise that based on 9 Games Bony was worth 6 times as much as Michu.

Your original post was you thought what a waste of money when you first saw him, which to the majority of fans was a load of bull, all he needed was time to settle in, don't forget he didn't have a pre season

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game
Poll: Happy to see Martin go

FRANKLY, you re wasting your time bitching as Bony has come good so who givesashuite who was right or wrong months ago. Being right or wrong negative or positive on a chat room isn't worth anything-no really .

Bony is turning into a great asset .

My opinion is that is he himself has stepped up his performances considerably and its great to see him holding off defenders as he does. He s our BEAST

I have already said that myself.

What has Michu got to do with whether Bony's any good or not?

I watched Wilfred play. He looked like a very good player. He is a very good player.

Quite simple really.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

All that has been said on this thread aside, we have a great striker in our squad, and one thing stands out for me is we have a striker who is a mountain of muscle, someone who rarely gets pushed off the ball and uses his strength at all times yet quick on the turn.
What an asset. Brings back fond memories of 'The Latch'

His holding off of Turner on Saturday was a joy to behold. Turner looked like he was trying to push a fully laden Bentley up a hill and Bony looked like he was leaning on a lampost waiting for a bus.

"If you ladies leave my island, if you survive recruit training, you will be a weapon. You will be a minister of death praying for war. But until that day you are pukes. You are the lowest form of life on Earth. You are not even human furcking beings! You are nothing but unorganized, grabastic pieces of amphibian sh1t! Because I am hard, you will not like me. But the more you hate me the more you will learn."

For some it seems that Michu's signing is the benchmark against which all other striker/goalscorer signings must be judged. Which is obviously very, very silly as Michu is the exception to the usual rule that goalscorers cost serious money.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.

He's a natural finisher and worth double what we paid for him already.A brilliant and audacious signing by the club.
