Dale’s first-ever game against Wealdstone on Saturday will be refereed by JAMIE O’CONNOR.

This will be the Chesterfield-based official’s second Dale game inside six weeks as he was also the man in the middle for our 2-0 defeat at Solihull Moors at the start of October.

Jamie received a mid-season promotion to the National League last term and went on to referee six fifth tier fixtures in the remainder of the campaign.

This season has seen him officiate six more times in the National League, in addition to Cambridge v Colchester in the EFL Trophy and last Saturday’s FA Cup first round tie between Eastleigh and Boreham Wood.

Mr O’Connor has shown 33 yellow cards and three red cards in those eight matches.
