There's some awful news coming out this afternoon as we learn about the passing of Wayne Evans.

Evo will go down as a Rochdale legend and one of the steadiest performers you'll ever see.

He arrived in July 1999 from Walsall and went on to play 297 games for Rochdale, scoring 4 goals over the next six years before a brief spell at Kidderminster. The former Dale right back is well inside the top 10 of all-time appearance makers.

His passing at the age of 51 is heartbreaking and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
