The club have now released their retained list for the Academy Scholars with three players offered new deals.

Rochdale have offered new deals to second year scholars John Dunlop, Brooklyn Bailey and Luke Mann.

John Dunlop is a right back who can also play in midfield and done well in the games I've seen him. Brooklyn Bailey picked up the Academy Player of the Season at the end of season awards night in April and can operate in the centre of midfield and also at full back. Luke Mann actually made his professional debut last season, coming on as a substitute in the 5-1 FA Trophy defeat to Gateshead and is a striker who can play midfield as well.

Defender Nail Ayub and forward Darren Ehimamiegho have been released at the end of their scholarships.

Goalkeeper Lennon Maclorg has left the club and joined Charlton Athletic in the EFL.
