The 26-year-old central midfielder joins Dale on a two-and-a-half year deal for one of them undisclosed fees everyone loves.

Losing Aaron Morley to Bolton earlier in the window meant we were in need of a midfielder and that was even more evident when Liam Kelly missed out through injury at the weekend so this is very welcome news.

Ball is a goalscoring midfielder who has 20 goals in 71 games for Jimmy Shan's old club according to Soccerbase. He's had spells at Stevenage, Ebbsfleet and Stockport County where he scored 14 goals in 74 games according to Wikipedia.
