No August Saturday 3pm kick-offs for whites' as Sky muscle in! Tuesday, 30th Jun 2015 13:48 Leeds will go through August without a traditional 3pm kick-off thanks to Sky television. Having already had kick-off times moved on the advice of the Police, the fixture list was thrown into further disruption as Sky TV took their pick of the Championship fixtures. With us already being on the TV for our League Cup visit to Doncaster, now August 13th a Thursday night! A total of four Leeds matches will be shown on the box and a knock-on effect of the trip to Donny is that our trip to Reading scheduled for Saturday 15th originally will now take place on the Sunday instead. This also means our visit to Bristol City on Tuesday 18th will now take place 24 hours later on the Wednesday evening. When the fixtures first came out, I suspected with Burnley being our opponents it might get selected for Sky coverage with their relegation from the Prem, so this will now kick-off at 12:30 instead of 3pm so we might even be at the top of the table for a couple of hours. Sky have also selected our trip to Sheffield Wednesday on August 22nd for coverage, I seem to remember it was moved to a 12:30 kick-off on police advice anyway. Let's hope it isn't a repeat of the shambles in January of last year when we were thrashed 6-0 in front of the cameras. Sky have also bought the rights to our August 29th trip at Derby, this fixture was televised last season with the hosts beating us 2-0. This seasons encounter kicks off at the unusual time of 12:05.
