Dale boss Keith Hill has added to his squad with the signing of midfielder Ritchie Jones who was a free agent after leaving Bradford City a couple of weeks ago.

He joins Dale on non contract terms, and is expected to play on the right hand side of midfield for Dale. The Manchester born midfielder is 6'1 and is 26 year old and has been around the lower divisions for a few years now having originally started off at Manchester United. He has represented England at every age group up to U-20 level.

Jones had been linked with a deadline day switch to Spotland according the online rumours who had him playing a part in a deal that was to take Jason Kennedy to Valley Parade. Jones was subsequently released on deadline day by the West Yorkshire outfit to allow him to search for first team football.
