Starting Midfield
at 11:47 19 Aug 2013

So it is all well and good questioning our starting line-up against United in midfield.
It felt as if they were setting up for an away game to one of the top 4.

But how do you think our midfield will line up against the likes of Palace, the scum and hull?

Still keep Leon and Canas? Or opt for John Jo to sit deep and allow JDG/ Michu/Pozeulo to sit behind Bony?

Frankly, I wouldnt like to guess!

Sorry if this sounds similar to the thread about Leon and Canas!

Welsh Football

With the recent success of Swansea and Cardiff, and of course Newport getting into the football league I just wanted to know your thoughts on the state of welsh football as a whole.

Do you think the Welsh League can actually go anywhere?

I know the F.A.W has had its critics, and I know that the likes of TNS are better of staying in the WPL then entering themselves in the English System.

I was at Haverfordwest to watch a Swans XI and there were around 1,200 there to watch youngsters. Just makes me wonder if the Welsh Premier League can grow and how it can attract a bigger following.

Foreign Investment

First proper post so go easy!

These are in fact exciting times for the Swans.

If you are someone that has trolled through our recent threads, you would have heard these words a lot. As a football fan, I hate this phrase. Do not judge me though, as these are exciting times. I definitely think that our success is due to our solid foundations and our capability not to think too far ahead.
We have had a gradual rise but have not moved too fast. Everyone at the club or who has been in the last 6 or 7 years has had the philosophy of Swansea City engrained into them and if they do not see fit, they have moved on. Just look at QPR. Big Investor, Big intentions, now they are in the Championship.

The point of this post is to see what the opinion is on how we sustain ourselves. Is it to make sure the club continues to run the way it is now or do we need a foreign investor?

I may be naïve, as a 19 year old blinded by the success of the past 3 years, but I for one would not welcome the latter.

Capital One Cup Winners. Top-half finish. Europe.

Exciting times.

Would not want it spoiled by a man with a tash who can’t even pronounce Abertawe. Don’t get me wrong, money can have a massive contribution to a club, but there are no guarentees.

If the opportunity arose of a rich foreign investor wanting to buy the club, would you want it?
