I thought it was an entertaining afternoon, and also thought Swindon were one of the better teams we've played this season. They caused us loads of problems with their width, and Keohane especially was exposed time and time again in the first half.
They will feel they should have won the game, but the second half could have gone either way.
EOC again outstanding for us, and a well deserved MOM for Lynch, together with a really good hard working game from Charman. It remains a mystery why he wasn't playing before Campbells injury.
Overall; I enjoyed the game, which is something I just wasn't feeling a month or so ago.
Agree with all of that. Felt a bit for Keohane he had a hard job and was only really under pressure due to the way we setup with O'Keefe playing more central without the ball. It was obviously on purpose though. There was much less opportunities for them through the middle and were forced wide. I suppose it worked in the whole with the clean sheet. But that first 20 minutes had me worried.
Can’t have been that bad as this match thread has only just reached a second page! When Dale are dire the thread can sometimes get into double figures.

Sounds like a research topic, but suspect you're right
Shows how many are quick to moan but slow to praise
Its been said before, but those who come on here to lambast would get a better reception overall if they also put good words in occasionally, when appropriate

We looked knackered towards the end to be fair. Whether it was the pitch or the constant Saturday/Tuesday catch up schedule that has caught us out, some players just looked dead on their feet. I know fans wanted a faster paced, hard press game again, but they didn't allow us to do it and we didn't look to be up for that.
Nonetheless a point is a point and one more result should see us safe. Now have a week to recover.
Yep, very fair, I acknowledged it in my first post - "the effort expended Tuesday must have taken its toll". An unchanged team did their best on the day and earned a valuable point.
A week to recharge now and another home game. 7 points from 9 would be excellent, 5 would be good.

And then away at Stevenage
Results going the right way could see us all but safe after the next two games

I thought the first penalty shout could have been given.COK looked to have been impeded. Second one he was looking for it.
One looked like a high foot that normally I wouldn't have been bothered about not being given. But that ref on that day anywhere else on the pitch he gives a freekick.
I'd have to see the other one again but at the time with it being O'Keefe I just assumed he'd thrown himself to the floor.
No, was just a random comment. Nice to go to a game where some of those who normally stand in the same area as myself weren’t complaining after the first five minutes!

Don't worry we still had the random idiot in the Main Stand shouting forward when we'd hardly had any possession.
He received the warranted shake of the head from Stockdale.
What a remarkably one-sided set of highlights! Weird that a couple of Swindon crosses into the box (that evaded everyone) made it into the edit, but a couple of Dale ones didn't - thinking of Charmans cross that flashed through the 6 yard box especially, hell of a ball in that just needed someone gambling at the back post.
Fairly sure we had a couple more efforts that the Swindon keeper had to deal with/catch as well.
Still, another point on the board against playoff-chasing opposition.

Stockdale could endear himself a tad more if he applied some basics. Wtf are Kelly and Cashman doing in the box defending corners. There is absolutely no sense.

Does the same apply to diminutive forwards in the opposition box?

Still a way to go BUT yesterday v Swindon and last Tuesday v Carlisle really is a vast improvement on the pitch.
It's 4 points on the board and two clean sheets. Onwards to Walsall at Spotland this Saturday where a win would see us all but safe. 10 points the gap now make that 11 with our superior GD.

I thought the referee was very poor, from the ridiculous booking of Dorsett early on, to his completely ignoring 2 decent penalty shouts it always seemed like the oppposition were getting the better of his decisions, indeed their baldy right winger was treated like a close relative given his predeliction for collapsing in a heap at the vaguest of touches. And what was all that fuss around their free kick just outside our penalty area? It looked like he was forging a Picasso with his can of spray foam, by the time he had finished his masterpiece the original 10 yards line he drew had evaporated!

More of a Banksy then?
Whilst i too thought he displayed a general level of incompetence, a couple of people have commented on the "early" booking of Dorsett
I thought it was justified, given he manhandled their winger when he'd have been free to run through if he'd got past him (but probably not a clear goalscoring chance, given he was out wide). The time of the booking was irrelevant

Reasonably enjoyable 0-0. One thing that today illustrated is that the formation doesn’t need to be seen as that much of a hindrance, with the most important thing being how we play. Charman shows the signs of having some real promise, but raw but a constant annoyance, in the Grant Holt mould.
Only wish we showed more confidence in going forward and getting shots off. Someone like Grant especially should have seen what can happen after his goal on Tuesday.
It’s been a significant turnaround in the last week though, the players and management have responded even if it’s only a start.
Agree about the Holt similarities and if he ends up being half the player I’ll be delighted. There’s a roughness and almost swagger to Charman’s which I don’t think we’ve seen too often at Dale in recent years. Willing to run at players, take a shot but clearly puts in a great shift for the team. I think a forward pairing of him and Campbell could be really exciting next season.
