That's good. Although actually why have MH waited till January to file this claim? [Post edited 15 Jan 2022 11:57]

Whether there's any particular significance in the timing is a moot point, but it does raise an issue which i think is likely being addressed, and certainly should be Those involved in the hostile takeover have been and continue to sustain very unwelcome media coverage. If the claim is an attempt to curtail such adverse publicity, it indicates a way out of this mess (of their own making) but also potentially for all of us; so we might just be able to get on with the business of supporting Dale as before Bottomley reared his foul grin at our ground It'd be on condition that the hostiles put right any share issues by divesting themselves completely of any interest in our club, as they've stated they intended to, but further: desist from any attempts at taking over any club in the UK. Perhaps if such an agreement could be obtained, and adhered to (we'd be watching indefinitely) then further pursuance of them on our part might also desist On a day when we're (touch wood) seeing the return of sporting action, such a thought offers light at the end of the tunnel

MORTON HOUSE / Dale Trust and club sued by invisible Morton House on 16:28 - Jan 7 by RAFCBLUE | On the positive side, the faceless invisible Morton House might have to come out of the shadows into the glare of the public spotlight and the courts. Must mean that Matthew Southall couldn't get his deal done: https://the72.co.uk/250534/former-charlton-athletic-chairman-matt-southall-agree And where are the EFL? EFL said in August 2021: Having considered the request for information made of them, Morton House MGT, on behalf of its directors, and representatives, has now informed the League that it is formally withdrawing from the approval process and plans to divest the shares acquired in the Club at the earliest opportunity. Furthermore, Morton House MGT, its directors, and representatives, have confirmed to the League they are refusing to co-operate with the League’s ongoing investigations. Despite these developments, the EFL will be continuing with its disciplinary investigations into this matter and will take the most appropriate action available to it under its Regulations. Morton House tell the EFL they are withdrawing. Morton House now suing the Dale Trust and the club. Not the actions of someone withdrawing. I wonder if the EFL have seen them comply yet. What a shambles from Rick Parry and his team. |
Just what is required to get some kind of statement from the EFL regarding all these worrying developments? UP THE DALE WE ARE NOT FOR SALE.

You could start by sending them an e-mail? I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a decision though. I sent an e-mail on 4/2/22 asking what was going on (p.2 of "Update" thread if you want to read it). I got the following on 9/2/22 (quicker than the previous reply at least, but saying absolutely sweet FA!) Thank you for your email, we acknowledge your comments in respect of Rochdale. The EFL’s investigation into the circumstances surrounding the sale and purchase of shares in Rochdale AFC in July 2021 remains ongoing. As with all disciplinary matters, it is the League’s aim to complete investigations in a timely manner, but ensuring the process is thorough and robust remains of paramount importance. Whilst we are unable to comment on specifics, this investigation has proved complex given it involves not only the Club but also number of other companies and individuals. To illustrate the challenges the EFL has received new information regarding these matters over the course of the last few weeks. The EFL understands frustrations of Rochdale fans at the length of time regulatory investigations can take and an update will be provided as soon as possible. Thank you for contacting the EFL.
