You're not on your own with your "strong dislike" of Oldham for the reasons mentioned.
The two Bury fans I regularly speak to have the same opinion of Oldham fans, and I attended a match a few years ago with two children in our group that were in a similar situation where they were scared because of Oldham fans actions and it could have put them off football.
Blackburn fans I work with are also of the same opinion of Oldham fans.
So there is a pattern emerging.
Have to agree that all teams have those type of fans, but Oldham seem to have a larger % than most. |

Hi - Latics fan here in peace.
I`m actually very sad that one of us has to go down. I like Rochdale - both as a place and as a club. Very similar towns with similar backgrounds (textile industry etc) and demographics. I`ve always found Rochdale fans to be hospitable, "salt of the earth" types. Whatever the outcome of the final game, the very best of luck to you and your club for the future.
Finally, if Latics lose at Northampton, I shall conduct myself with dignity and have a drink and a chat with the cobblers' fans afterwards (staying the night) as I always do. | | | |

We handed out zero banning orders last year, that’s a fact. You’d have to be quite dim to think that’s me suggesting that all of our supporters behave impeccably every week. We have a small % of trouble causers just like every other club. As for the loon on the pitch he did indeed get a banning order, I was basing it off last year as this season’s statitistics won’t be available till November. | | | |

Look at the Home Office statistics for yourself from last season, don’t take my word for it.
Watch ‘Football Hooligan and Proud’ that aired on Channel 5 and ‘Football Fight Club’ that aired on BBC three. ‘The Chosen Few’ and ‘The Interchange Riot Squad’ aren’t Oldham fans, I can tell you that much. |
From my experience Oldham fans have been one of the worst set of fans.
I'm not saying it's a fact. So I don't need Home Office statistics, they might have had no arrests or 100 arrests - that wouldn't change my experience.
No doubt Millwall have atrocious stats but actually I've been to a few games against Millwall and never seen any trouble. |  | | |
