There's nothing - absolutely nothing - to be gained from the actions of those morons invading the pitch. All it might do is increase costs to the club in stewarding in future. Why on earth are you defending that? Do you actually have an answer or not?
In a way, your defending them is worse because you have some pretence to adult credibility, whereas those kids will likely grow out of it

It's not poxy and tinpot, it's a threat of injury to people attending a football match, or seeking to ensure the safety of others; and it's a cost to the club, both financially and in terms of reputation
That type of behaviour led to cages being erected in football grounds in the 1970s, which ultimately led to the Hillborough tragedy because fans couldn't escape a crush

A large amount of the pitch invaders were grown men and the worst thing was that some were throwing missiles at the Millwall fans. It was embarrassing and extremely disappointing. Our players should have been able to celebrate on the pitch for a few minutes and the Millwall players should have been able to go over to thank their fans, who made a tough journey up here yesterday. Same on Manc radio - obviously they focused on Dale winning but at the end they had the interview with Harris calling our fans a disgrace. I was told most of them didn't go on the pitch and those that did - who that person knew - we're running to the 'Dale players and generally being tinpot.
