Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.
Horrible scruffy game massive three points, appy days
""Although I cannot promise or predict the future, I can guarantee one thing - the current board of directors will always fight, as we have done over the last 12 years, to work together as one with the Supporters Trust to make 100% sure that Swansea City football club remains the number one priority in all our thoughts and in every decision we make."
Typical early season scrappy encounter. Lots of room for improvement, but a good three points to start the ball rolling.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Cross the ball enough and Llorente will do the old school centre forward thing and trouble the keeper. Montero, as I mentioned before the game, is the only wideman really capable of delivering decent enough balls from our wingers.
Nope Barrow can cross as well

Not as well, but I would have him and Montero the first choice options if we are going with Llorente and not making a winger signing. Barrow offers something more direct which we need also, coupled with their pace. Neither should be behind Routledge in the pecking order.

thought Llorente looked superb for having been on the team for all of about a week. fair play.
We will surely get better. Llorente still isn't match fit or used to the PL or his teammates, Siggy can't be match fit yet nor Taylor or Ki and we've got Baston to get going too. May have been scrappy but there was a bit of inevitability about that. Think we'll be a bit smoother after 4-5 games.

Love that Montero option from the bench away from home. Doesn't usually start well away but my god can he influence a game coming on. Brilliant. Barrow did well first half as well. Scrappy game but we should have had 2 or 3 today. I'll forgive Fernandez. That gray will give more than our centre backs trouble this season. Hapus iawn.

Great three points to start us off - never easy against a promoted team in the first few weeks as the others showed.
Llorente showed some real glimpses - quicker than I thought he'd be, and a good touch as well.
Siggy needed gels brought on after 20 minutes, so not yet fit by some distance. Barrow some signs in the first half, Montero in the second. Good game I thought by both full backs - Naughton was very good.
Fernandez as well, other than that unbelievable miss.
All in all, nice way to ease in, with plenty more to come now our Euros players etc are returning and new players bedding in. A win at home next week and we're off to a flyer again.
Scrappy game but points is all that matters when the team is just starting the season.Going to be interesting to see how Baston is going to fit,Llorente did ok.for his first PL outing.Lot more to come.

Completely agree Lisa, we lost our way at times and we gave them too space on the ball but a fantastic 3 points.

I'd have been happy with a draw beforehand - these games are difficult. And particularly with our relatively disrupted and late pre season.
I did think that the game highlighted that we should get in another centre back though. Not necessarily because I'd drop one of today's two, but it may take a while before we really see a settled first choice back four in the way we've had it for the past few seasons. And today's two, if nothing else, will miss some games through suspension from yellow cards if today's anything to go by.
