Siggy has been one of the biggest disappointments for me this season probably because of high expectations. Dead ball situations he is lethal, but not seen enough attempts on goal from him in open play like the goal he produced at Blackburn in the cup. But as a team are we getting the best from him?

The amount of work he went through today was very good. If he plays like that every week id have no complaints. He needed better service today is all. |
work yes quality no he's a bad footballer simple

he's got to start putting some shots on target. he needs to turn quicker and lighten his first touch facing goal. He's surely had enough game time to settle by now. and i'm gonna complain until he starts scoring in at least every third game.
The Official Swansea City v Liverpool FC Match Day/Night Thread on 22:07 - Mar 16 with 1721 views | LeonisGod | Hard work should be the minimum expectation. Shefki Kuqi used to work hard, but I wouldn't want him back. He was good in his defensive roles, but we haven't got room for a striker who isn't a threat. Not if we want to be a top half team. Anyhow, to rub salt into the wounds I see Jordan Henderson was Sky's motm. Feckin cart horse he his - seriously overrated.

agreed I could run around and work hard but that's not what we need we need the striker to score I agree he did not have enough chances but how many is enough

Quite why people feckn bother at all is beyond me. First half could have seen us ahead easily. Second half better quality took over. That simple.. Hammering monk is no good. Anyway, Rutledge bias contributed over the years according to number one but must have been in a coma when . He and dyer should be the firstvto be replaced.

The Official Swansea City v Liverpool FC Match Day/Night Thread on 22:14 - Mar 16 with 1624 views | dameedna | Shelvey had an outstanding game and almost scored if not for a deflection Sprinted back in the last 5 minutes and won back possession on the left wing and attacked again He has 2 solid players in Ki and Cork around him but that was overall the best we have played for a while Emnes not getting enough game time Gomis had a good game

The Official Swansea City v Liverpool FC Match Day/Night Thread on 22:15 - Mar 16 with 1604 views | Bloodyhills | Thought it was foolish to take Ki off. Hopefully we can get rid of Gomis in the summer. Impressed with first half but same old problem of not scoring when we put teams under pressure. Not sure where Dyer is going, though he hasn't been playing much so is not match sharp. Still, it took a lucky deflection to beat us.

The Official Swansea City v Liverpool FC Match Day/Night Thread on 22:17 - Mar 16 with 1567 views | macthejack | It says a lot that what is widely being called Gomis best game for Swansea would be considered a bad game by Wilf's admittedly high standards. We didn't deserve to lose that game no way. Deserved at least a draw, played very well, better than for a while, tailed off at the end but it was against THE form team in the country.
The Official Swansea City v Liverpool FC Match Day/Night Thread on 22:19 - Mar 16 with 1536 views | perchrockjack | Prob is Jeff has no end product. Plenty of positives. Naught on looks fine as does cork. Jjs was triffic. Very lucky goal only difference. Our fan base both on here and at home games is open to cricisim. Fans tonight could have been the extra man. Frankly, I thought it appalling

The Official Swansea City v Liverpool FC Match Day/Night Thread on 22:25 - Mar 16 with 1483 views | londonlisa2001 | I find it really difficult to understand how people can get quite so negative after that game. We played really, really well in the first half - Gary Neville described it as the best he has seen anyone set up against Liverpool this season (or during their run at least when they switched to this system). We dropped off in the second half and became more sloppy at times, but ultimately a team of multi million pound players beat us thanks to a lucky goal. If we had seen the luck reversed then Siggy's or Jonjo's would have gone in in the first half and their goal would have deflected wide. This is a team that is 50:50 for finishing in the Champion's League (I think they may well beat Man Utd at theirs), being forced to try to keep it down in the corner for the final 5 minutes and irrespective of anything Rodgers may say, the game could have gone either way. Gomis played the best I've seen him. Thought Ki had a quiet game by his standards, and for me, Montero added little when he came on - he often has poor final product. We are a good mid table team, and therefore, are likely to lose to the top 4 or 5. The fact that we haven't on a few occasions this season shows we are becoming an upper mid table team rather than a lower mid table team - people seem genuinely p**sed off that we are not getting results that would see us compete for the Top 4 as well. We also didn't resort at any point to the 'long ball' game - we tried to keep possession and play the ball up - we didn't manage it at times because we don't have a team of £20m players. A few more performances like that and we'll get to 50 points and 8th or 9th which will be brilliant. Then we strengthen again and see what happens next season.

"They're going for the Champions League, so a loss is ok" is a bit of a kop out when discussing a defeat though. However good the first half was, it was completely irrelevant, as soon as the second half st arted Brendan changed it, we failed to adapt, and were never going to get anything out of the game unless it had finished 0-0. Alas, it's nice to see progress, at least we're tactically sharp for 45 minutes now. Got that end of season feel about it now, I can't see any of them being arsed about our 'greatest ever points' total.
