Not too cut up about this.I just saw him as an adequate squad reserve.
Equivalent of unloading Bradley Orr to me.
Great in the championship,so/so to nothing special in the Prem.

Let's face it I'm not getting any thinner.
Pass the cake and pies please.
feel like ive lost a 'daredevil' #158 and found a 'dr doom' #76. bit deflated.
is isla a solid enough right back in a flat back four?
anyone know what we got for him??

2 million is what i hear, good deal for a player we picked up on a free transfer that the manager feels isnt up to it .we had this with mackie but fans soon forget and move on.
He was good for us and it is a shame, given that we are now back to a much more comfortable back 4 that we weren't sensible enough to keep him, however good Isla was today.
As with selling Remy and Traore, this is all about whether they get replacements in. My fear is Redknapp sees Onouha as the back up right back; he should be first choice CB rather than backup RB...
Real shame this. If Isla gets injured we are back to Nedem. Seems very strange unless Harry has someone lined up. Always looks solid defensively in a back 4. Very odd
Harry has been very diplomatic, or as diplomatic as he can be, in regard to systems, " It's not about systems, it's about Players " So presumably Danny Simpson is not the right quality in Redknapps view for the Premiership....it also could be that Danny Simpson wants to play regularly, in a set-up where he can give his best. He's an honest full back, a valuable team player for a Championship side....I suspect he doesn't want to play second fiddle...wish him luck, incredibly reliable for QPR last year...showed Barton how to tackle with your head....I get the feeling Harry would lose as many of the promotion squad as Fernandes will fund as he can....
