Dale boss Keith Hill has added to his ranks today, with the signing of young Manchester City striker Jack Redshaw on a twelve month contract.
Our interest in Redshaw first developed about three weeks ago, when it was reported on the Man City website that Redshaw had been released from the Eastlands club, and was attracting interest from our good selves,
But it went from being rumour mill to be a confirmed signing on Tuesday when the club announced the permanent signature of Redshaw, with the Salford born youngster penning a one year contract at Spotland.
Redshaw comes to the club with a decent reputation, with perhaps unfair comparisons with Dagnall and Le Fondre being made. He's been a regular in the City reserve and youth sides over the past few years, and had also been linked with a switch to Carlisle.
Redshaw is Dale's third signing of the Summer, joining Joe Widdowson and Brian Barry-Murphy at Spotland, with Grimsby striker Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro expected to be next to put pen to paper at Spotland.
