Refwatch - Rochdale v Dagenham & Redbridge

Dale’s first home game of the season against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday will be refereed by SCOTT JACKSON.

The Liverpool-based official, who works as a Chief Petty Officer in the Royal Navy, was promoted to the National List of referees in the summer of 2023 and last season oversaw 26 games in League One, League Two and the cup competitions.

The refereeing structure has since been changed for this season, meaning National List officials will now referee in League One, League Two and the National League.

On Tuesday night, Scott refereed Barrow v Port Vale in the Carabao Cup, while next week he is in the middle at Rotherham v Mansfield in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

Dale have met Mr Jackson once before, when he refereed our pre-season friendly versus Tranmere in July 2023 which was played behind closed doors.
