Stuart Armstrong returns for Saints in place of Theo Walcott who is unable to play against his parent club, but it is not so good news from the Everton camp.
As expected Saints only make one change in the starting line up with Stuart Armstrong coming in for unavailable Theo Walcott.
McCarthy, Walker-Peters, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Armstrong, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Redmond, Adams, Ings.
This would have been considered Saints first choice starting XI before the arrival of Walcott, so a decent line up.
The bench has a different look about it and is lacking a little Premier League experience, of the 6 outfield players only Jack Stephens and Shane Long have any real Premier League experience and one shock is that there is no place for Michael Obafemi.
Stephens, Long, Tella, Diallo, Vokins, Forster, N'Lundulu.
But the bad news is that James Rodriguez will be in the starting line up, Everton's new signing and arguably most influential player, had been nursing an injury all week and had missed much of the training, but he is on the team sheet, although whther he is 100% fit is going to be found out very soon and hopefully the decision to play him will backfire on Carlo Ancellotti.
