RamZone Christmas Countdown - 4 Regrettable Rams Records

Till Christmas there are but 4 days to traverse and without a doubt my rhymes are getting worse.

When it comes to unwanted records, sadly the Rams hold their fare share in this category.

Today we examine the worst of the worst.

Please read, drink and forget!

With 4 Days Till Christmas RamZone gave to me – 4 Regrettable Records

1.

Derby holds the record for the longest sequence of League defeats of 8 First Division losses from the 12th December 1987 to 10 February 1988.

2.

The 2007–08 Premier League campaign ended with DCFC setting a large amount of unwanted records including equalling Loughborough's all time league record of just one win in an entire league season.

Other records Derby could not avoid included in that fateful campaign:

3.

The Rams managed to be on the receiving end of the record defeat in an FA Cup Final when they lost 6–0 to Bury in 1903.

And while on the FA Cup, the worst ever defeat for a Rams team came on the 18th of January 1890 in the FA Cup First Round. Derby was hammered by Everton 11-2.

4.

Over the course of their history the Rams have had three homes and each ground has had a bad day in terms of attendance.

Unfortunately the latest of these records was set earlier this year:

The Racecourse Ground:

Lowest attendance: 750 vs. Darwen, First Division, 18 November 1893.

The Baseball Ground:

Lowest attendance: 1,562 (vs. Udinese, Anglo-Italian Cup, 15 November 1994)

Pride Park Stadium:

Lowest attendance: 7,183 (vs. Millwall, FA Cup 3rd Round Replay, 12 February 2010)
