Did anyone else hear anything last night about 11pm in the skies above us....cant just be me cos my wife heard it too.....almost like thunder but that wouldnt be quite right way to describe it. Any ideas?

I had a Docs appointment today at Cutgate surgery and luckily it was set for the time that some of the team was there to promote the new dragon. I only had to hang around for a few extra mins before BBM, JK, Twadfather, Joey T and Jack the kitman turned up plus the usual PR type people. I'm guessing there will be pics on the OS soon

I got the chance to briefly talk with Marc and Joey T to wish them both the best for this season.

Joey I got the chance to talk with the longest and he tells me he is fully over the back spasm problem and ready to play again. He picked up the strain on the first day back of pre-season.
I also asked him about KH and as we can all prolly guess he commented that KH and SE are very similar except he says SE is quieter and more thoughtful. FB on the other hand as we can all guess is in Joey's words "the voice".

Just wanna finish by saying Joey is one hell of a nice guy and lets hope he has a successful season for us. It would be nice to see him getting the success we would wish for him as a local lad

We get Trotman....keep COG we are at least as strong as last year that's what my post last season was about....are we stronger?

On the surface no doubt...but will these lads bleed for us if needed? Things like this board can only help.....if i was a player id be looking to see how boards like this rated me and if the fans wanted me......so that would be a No to Liam Dickinson!!!

To end this some of you should look at a BFC player called Jacob Butterfield and what their fans are saying about him.....he hated it under hillcroft (the preseason and hes been done for drink driving be4 KH drifted his way).....i cant see him staying ala Andy Howarth

Can anyone remember any other player we've ever signed direct from a scottish club? Yes I know the smart answer would be Josh Thompson but I mean a permanent signing!
I'll be honest I thought I did until I researched him tonight...Peter Gowans....my memory must be failing cos I was convinced we'd got him from Queen of the South but all internet evidence points to him coming to us via aldershot.

He was a good player for us and if you remember him you'll be sad to hear he died in 2009 so RIP Peter and best wishes to his family (belatedly). I decided to write this thread cos I've never seen his name mentioned on here before
