What;'s changed with us lately? 15:20 - Oct 6 with 13049 viewswr72

Is there too many new faces?

Are we tired from our european games?

Are teams finding out to figure us out?

Is the manager to blame?

Or is it just another bad day at the office?

we seem to be making far more silly mistakes in defence than last season

Could the fact that we seem to be missing our captain and chief organiser of defense have anything to do with that?

Having said that I think Amat is looking better and better each time he plays.

More generally expectations are completely unrealistic if you think all the new players bought in during the summer are going to gel instantly.

We didnt take our cances is becoming a commin phrase so one would think and hope we put that right.
It might be also worthy of comment to suggest we clear our lines quicker and do the pretty football in the opponents box.
Still, we should be grateful for those posters who know what is right.

I think a little frustration is setting in because we've played "within" ourselves so often. There's not been many games or instances where we've really clicked into anything like top gear, and silly mistakes get made that cost us.

Forced rotation due to the Europa isn't helping IMO.

Oh dear... Gotta laugh.

Are we making as many chances as last season? and are we converting enough of the ones we do make?
Boruc made two very good saves today and we hit a post, is 3 decent attempts at goal really all we can manage?

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Strength and weakness at this point, seems to be that team rely on Michu 2 much.. Bony doesnt seem to be up for the task yet and he was the one to relieve Michu and the team. Today Dyer had good chance to score.. other games ML also mentioned that we must be more clinical and take our chances when they come..
Swans is a very good team, with very good players and a very good manager, but if we cant score we cant win..
Not to worry though.. im sure relegation wont be an issue, even that people ofc. want to go as far in the table as we can.

Shelvey needs to cut out the Hollywood passes. We sometimes need to "get rid" at the back. Apart from tha we are doing ok. Could have easily taken all 3 points today but for an infom keeper and the thickness of a post.

So in other words it's another case of not taking our chances

Nothing has gone wrong. We are not in a crisis. We are doing OK.

We've got one point more than we did for the same matches last season, so we're improving. People seem to be forgetting that, so let's say it again "We are doing better than last season even with European matches".

Keep that up, and we'll be over the 50 point mark by the end of the season.

I didn't know that? Considering the fixtures we have had, especially at home where we need to be picking up points, that is not a bad start.

Not enough movement off the ball- no-one showing for a pass.

Teams have also worked out if they sit deep, we get frustrated and they can pick us off. Previously when they'd play us they'd all be looking for a win, they now look for a draw and set up more defensively.

Not enough conversion of chances.

With Canas and Shelvey we retain the ball less well.

From Soton board.
"Thought your team was excellent today.
move the ball better than most in the league (bar, maybe arsenal)

and have a way of always having a spare player in the middle of the park

the only difference was we took 2 of our chances, you never and came up against a very good boruc

if you had won, no one could say you would not have deserved it

in no way will you lot finish near relegation. top side. "
So we don't take our chances. That's nothing new. We are doing about as well as we did last season, so whats changed? The amount of bleating maybe.

Its just a ride.

Exactly. I thought with the loss of our Korean friends from this forum, there would be less hysterics on here. How wrong I was.

Not bleating, stating opinion. Bleating is what the fellas in the East stand near me do whenever Bony loses the ball

I don't think there's much wrong at the moment in terms of tactics or talent. We've played well in every game so far except the Spurs one. We were clearly the better side on Sunday but it just wasn't our day.

The only concern for me is the body language of the players. Our heads are down and nobody seems to be enjoying themselves very much. I found Routledge's reaction to scoring against St. Gallen to be very odd indeed.

Shecter was a bag of shit bony does not impress me any more than lita as I've said on another thread their the same build supposedly good in the air and supposedly can shoot and neither hold the ball up well so you tell me the big difference as Moore he wasn't great but didn't do a lot wrong I'd have just kept him at the moment to give us options we don't have unless we bring back lita which I don't want but we may have too

So you think Bony is the same build as Lita?

Most of what people post on here is opinions and as Perch is fond of saying, opinions can't be wrong. Although they can be very stupid.

What you have posted here is a fact. And it is a fact which is wrong. Your opinion that Bony is no better than Lita is not wrong, because it's an opinion, but it is stupid.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.

Now that its nailed on after survival is now an impossibilty, I wonder how many season tickets we will sell. Back to 12k core I reckon. Still the championship is an exciting league. In fact the whole of the football league is in rude health. As long as there is a team in white running out every couple of weeks here in Swansea, I really don't care what league we are in. But then I would have gone to see us if we had ended up in the conference, as I'm sure you and most of the other sane people on this forum would have.

Possibly it would be. Probably not so good for the emergency services in the area.

Some Cardiff fans accuse our fan base of having swollen heads after our recent success. While that is tarring everyone with the same brush, it's hard to argue with their point sometimes.

YES he does say that and stupid is in the mind of the beholder although to state publicly Lita and Bony have anything in common except colour is somewhat surprising to read.
