It was bound to come to a end, I think the best team won! Am I upset yes as I always am when we get beat, but if anyone had said we would be in this position after the boro game I'd have thought them mad! So I'd say let's keep things in perspective, this was a reality check but there's nothing wrong with dreaming! Personally I think we should build for next season and anything else is a bonus! COM ON U,RSSSSSSSSS!

AND WHEN I DREAM , I DREAM ABOUT YOU AND WHEN I SCREAM I SCREAM ABOUT YOU!!!!!

The biggest disappointment is that Bannon conjured the first goal. It was coming as they took control of the midfield and you can't give the likes of him time and space. Dare I say, we win that game with Bannon in blue-and-white hoops?

Lets just spell it out our corners are sh*t and have been for years now .How many times have other teams broke away and have goal chances in our end after another floating fcuking moon ball .Thats even if it clears the first guy which 9 times out of 10 it does not Andy Sinton said come on Keneth lets clear the first head and fcuk me he landed it straight on his forhead which even caused Sinton to actually go silent .
Chair has been useless at corners for years .Paal is equally horsesh*t (the free today and ONE corner not withstanding) yet he runs back and forth across the box taking them like something good is about to happen but every QPR fan on the planet knows its too long ,too short ,into the keepers hands or the biggest crime of all directly out of play .I give up

Best delivery from corners………..Madsen. Can we bring him on just to take corners….NFL style?

Dead ball delivery was very poor which was frustrating given their much cited weakness at defending from crosses.

I also thought our strategy of playing out from the back via long balls down the left for Frey to chase was flawed, I don't think Frey won that race once in the first half.

Whilst I agree (hate it) and sympathise - we have all got to realise that this is now the norm for behaviour and find a better way to deal with it.

We’ve also done it in some games when it suits us so we are not exactly whiter than white either. We don’t cheat but we do stretch the rules in our favour to break up play if we are ahead or want to stop momentum.

The older players need to start having the right words at the right time with the Ref. I don’t think the Refs support/favour either team when they start the game but they do shift their decisions to the team that influences them most because they aren’t particularly good/secure/strong and very few seem to have played the sport so they naturally follow what they get told by senior professionals that have. Natural human behaviour - whether we like it or not.

Cook coming back will help. Watch how he talks to the ref, he’s measured and makes his points quickly. Dunne will learn how to do the same eventually as will a couple of others.

It won’t completely fix the issue but it does counter the crap and the other teams know that too. Yesterday, they took full advantage of the fact that we didn’t have anyone fighting our side with the ref - in the right way.

You are so right.

The world is not full of "nice" people doing the right things and football is ten times worse. We have been too nice for far too long, but, at times have partaken in some good shithousey.

Can we go out yet?

Paterson also did a number on us. When he got Chair booked by blatantly shoving him off the ball and then went down clutching his face in the ensuing run and tussle down the line I had a bad feeling. The 5ft 7 Chair would have needed a chair to elbow the 6ft tall Paterson.

Just not our day. We looked jaded and they made it really hard to break through their lines.

Our dead ball deliveries were not at their best either so we couldn't get enough pressure on Wednesday. We didn't get enough players in and around their box so Frey was isolated..

Still I think most of us would have taken six points from this week. And we're still on track.

Agreed, and the same aforesaid Paterson managed to stop play late on with an alleged injury, (cramp?) before making a miraculous recovery to score after a strong run. I too wondered to my friend in SAR how pint-sized Chair managed to elbow that big ugly grey-haired cheat?

Millwall will do exactly the same - we need to find a way to deal with instead of continuing the banging of that head against the brick wall.

It’s like the old joke….

Doctor, doctor - it hurts when I do this - well, don’t bloody do it then !

Yes, but the ref should penalise that stuff still.

After the run the team has been on they deserve a pass on this one. Fingers crossed it's a blip but at least it tempers the heightened expectations. The acid test will be how the players react at Millwall.

It seemed to me there was a tactical tweak in how we set up. Morgan was playing wide right to support Smyth, possily to leave Dunne deeper at RB to nullify a perceived threat there.

If so, and I may be wrong, it didn't work. We missed Dunne ranpaging down the right and maybe more importantly also missed Morgan buzzing around centrally getting in the way of Bannan and Charles or offering forward options.

Our most glaring weakness was not finding the passes through midfield and just shifting it between CBs. One of the ways we'd improved on the recent run was having Morgan's mobility and passing in that position.

Anyone else see it this way?

But as others have said we were going to lose at some point and we just move on.
