For once I found our England team watchable.
I normally fall asleep when watching Englad play their slow, pedestrian (Saints like) football.
Last night it was much better, it was slick, incisive, good movement.
I normally struggle to name a player that has performed well but I thought they all did a good job last night.
Nice to see us play with two proper wingers that were prepared to take their full backs on.

Pickford has played in two finals and one semi final and has been great in all tournaments and yet gets pelters from people in the media who are desperate for him to be replaced. There’s not an English goalie who comes close to him.

Agreed ST - that’s exactly what I was thinking as I read your previous post and GRIM’s reply. He was and he's the best of those 3 (with Foden and Palmer). My point was that only 1 of them should be on the pitch at any time. They are all no 10s and if they play together England get very one dimensional. If all 3 are available, pick Bellingham, have Palmer on the bench and leave Foden at home because he rarely delivers for England. | | | |
