i thought Amos was a huge improvement on anyone in the first half personally. Haven't seen the stats,but suspect he won the ball more than anyone else in our team inside 45 mins. |
So did I Antti, at least for twenty minutes & then he disppeared into the same hole as the rest of the players.
That was 15 minutes longer than Armstrong gave us. 5 minutes of looking like a good prospect followed by every subsequent minute of looking poor.
I don't think that anyone deserved a mark of 7 yesterday & that is usually my par rating. |  | | |

Roberts still has a lot to prove as far as I am concerned, he's OK but not worthy of a starting place every week. Time will tell if he is good enough but currently he is not - when Willock is fit again he will be sidelined. | | | |

He seems like someone who really loves playing for QPR. He's had a really tough time with injuries and it must be hard being in and out of the team. I'd love him to be able to start a few matches and I think with a bit of confidence he'd do well. He had some great games last season.

my Leeds mate rates him and thinks those booing him don't know their Rs from their elbow. Bielsa certainly rated him. I think he knows a bit about football. |
he's nearly 24 and out on loan.
He has all the attributes - ability, speed, strength. He needs to put it all together more regularly.
I certainly wouldn't be returning him to sender, given our paucity of options and his potential, but he really needs to start delivering at this level. | | | |

I'm not writing him off at all Nix, but he's another one who needs to learn how to influence games more. At the moment he wouldn't be a starter for me as he is hugely inconsistent.
And yeah, how do you gain consistancy when you aren't a regular starter? i wouldn't send him out on loan because he has a big part to play for us, hopefully. Bringing back the football combination may help, it's difficult for players like him, Dozzel etc these days | | | |

This guy was brought in on big wages to create or get goals, especially when Willock is injured. If he's more injured than Willock, then there is zero point in him. Does not matter if it's not his fault, it still impacts our season.
Send him back and get in someone else who is fit enough to play at least half a season. |  |

He started the half well but then I thought faded and kept giving the ball away, he's looked a long way off last season but think that will comer with playing more games |  | | |

Armstrong. He's 19. He is playing his first games at senior level ever.
In his first game terrified the opposition. Wasn't a pen or a sending off but his bustling angry run proved the match changer.
Crikey. You would be incredibly effective at pushing up young players confidences.
Smyth was years ago and has not really made strides forward so obviously you see something that no manager has as yet seen.
But saying Armstrong won't make it after a few outings is insane. |  |

Amos I would like be given more opportunities.
I think it's so tough already having two career threatening injuries and without them, think he could be playing regularly and a much more elevated performance level but I like his enthusiasm and feel there is a player there.
Roberts has shown in some games, skill, touch and pace. But unfortunately at moment appears made of glass.
It seemed very innocuous his injury. Looked like he could have played on.
Understand the want be in world cup ie Wales unlikely get finals many times in his career if ever again so could be deemed selfish in that regard but who knows.
Think two or three of our loan players might be higher up the chain if not very frail in injury terms.. | |

Except of course no-one has actually seen the loan agreement, have no idea of the element of salary that we are paying or any loan fee, we don't know if we even have the option to return a player early and even if we did, what might be the financial penalty or impact if we should do so.
He hopefully will be fit when we need him after the world cup break as that is exactly when the lack of depth in our squad hurt us last time. |  |

If we can get him fit and somewhere close to his best then great but the early signs are far from promising. If there’s a break clause we’d have the option to drop and bring in another loan, not that that guarantees success but there might be other positions we need more of (CB if the injuries are fairly serious and CF). He’s not a kid so I don’t think it’s unfair of people to expect him to have made more of an impact. | | | |
