Pikey mun …. We told you ….
From today, tens of thousands of British expats are banned from using their UK driving licence on Spanish roads after the two governments failed to reach a post-Brexit agreement.

That should do wonders for the beleaguered Spanish tourist industry driving away business and British tourists. The unemployment rate in Spain is over 13%. Sounds like Spain is following Drakeford's plans to drive tourist away.

Nothing to do with tourism, it’s expats only.

Unfortunately expats as you call them run a large percentage of the business that UK tourist visit. Close the expats businesses down and their goes a large part of your tourist and visitors from the UK.

Will only increase Spains 13% Unemployment.
Unless the Spanish take those businesses over?

It does, but we have decided we aren’t going to do the checks on imports that the EU are subjecting our exporters to.The EU control what goes in to their area meanwhile we aren’t able to control what comes in to the UK because we’re not ready. We’ve had 16,000 civil servants working on this and it’s a shambles.
Great news for EU and their businesses and smugglers!
That does just prove that we are prepared to get on and make the most of it but the EU are being obstructive.
There is no need for so much of that paperwork, specially in a digital age. Even other EU members complain the EU is unnecessarily beaurocratic and laden down with red tape that could be vastly reduced and done more easily by digital means.
Mind you, it could also be said to prove our government is a shambles...which it pretty much is.

Plenty of Germans, Dutch, Belgians, French and Poles will fill that gap. You seem to think Spain is a British Colony.

Fill the gap 😂 The British are Spain’s tourists cash cow. Over 18,000,000 British visit Spain each year. If only half stopped going the Spanish tourist industry would have to lay off thousands.

It’s supposed to be digital. The EU are applying the same rules to us as they apply to all “third countries” - they are rules they’ve introduced to maintain standards and protect their businesses from being undercut by countries who have lower standards.
In many cases we’ve built the infrastructure at our ports but we’re in no position to enforce the legislation.

They are applying the same rules, apparently though they are often slowing the process down for UK imports. It's a rumour that is often heard so I can't guarantee it's true but even Barnier was chastised for his wording of the so called "punishment clause"

The Bank of England reporting that Brexit is costing the UK £444 million a week. Let’s just let that sink in. Maybe summat for the side of one of your model buses @BorisJohnson

More bad news for the remainers who want to see their country fail. Unemployment rate fell to the lowest in 50 years. Record employment rate.
All this despite the pandemic, global shortages, global energy crisis and global cost of living rises.
Where are the 3 million extra unemployed that the remainers forecast only 2 years ago.
You forgot to mention that real wages when adjusted for inflation was -1.2% during the period January/ March, this means peoples income doesn’t go as far and they have less money in their pocket and are actually worse off. We’ve also yet to see April’s big increase in energy prices filter through. Good news on the unemployment front, let’s hope we can get more people in to work.
GDP has stalled, there was no growth in February and a slight reduction in March.
It’s a mixed bag, but it’s certainly not the sunny uplands.

You need to wake up.
UK business investment stopped growing after the 2016 referendum. Like a truck running into a brick wall.
You only have to glance at the graph to see two totally different worlds: pre-Brexit and post-Brexit. The correlation is rock solid. https://t.co/kNbWKEhbzX

And prices are on the up, tax at record levels, fuel going up, and a failed journo as PM. Trade wars with EU and US possible.
The uk is like Millwall, noone likes us … we dont care … 🇬🇧😕
He seems to have forgotten the Pandemic, the global shortages created by the pandemic, rocking prices due to the war on Ukraine. Not a surprise he considers himself an expert.
Once again the expert pundits are confounded. Following the fall in retail sales volumes in March, down 1.2% retail sales increased in volume by 1.4%. The experts predicted sales would fall in April.

Stanley has become French rather late in life. I mean as long as he is ok, thats the main thing. 🇫🇷🇪🇺

What a surprise someone who has worked for the EU since 1973 with a French mother applying to confirm his French citizenship. That is what democracy is all about. You can claim Irish citizenship if you have any recently born Irish ancestors and then you can move to your Irish paradise and no longer be a burden on the UK taxpayers.
