The fallout from the John Terry racism charge case - in court & in front of the FA - still defines attitudes & friendships in his generation of players. Now finally Anton Ferdinand is to have his say https://t.co/2wRs1SLNFE
Anton promoted the documentary on his Instagram account last night and was immediately sent monkey and banana emojis in response. There really are some ignoramuses out there.
Wish I could be like David Watts

I'm surprised JT can work a mobile phone.

Thanks for that link, really appreciated.
Serves to remind that the victim was Anton, and he stayed the victim. John Terry suffered less.
I’d never fully considered the impact of the incident on Anton Ferdinand’s career/life. Like he says his form dipped after the Chelsea game and within six months he had played his last game in the Premiership.
I don’t really understand how Terry’s still employed in top flight football given everything that happened with Ferdinand and in the context of this era with players taking a knee before every game to promote BLM.
Maybe time for those in the media to start asking this question...

On the trailer, Anton, Rio and Dad at 24 secs - where are they, please?
Apologies for the thread tangent, but it has been driving me loopy...
The Tower Blocks are on the Old Kent Road by Commercial Way. The Estate they're walking through is the Friary Estate off Commercial Way on Bird In Bush Road.

He was speaking on 5 live today. He was indebted to the support he received from QPR and West ham supporters. He was disappointed Terry didn't want to speak on the documentary by not surprised. Reading between the lines , he has little or no respect for Terry. Which under the circumstances is entirely understandable. I doubt whether the documentary will change much but we can only hope. We all know Terry is a thoroughly nasty piece of work but I doubt this will put off perspective employers which is an indictment of the world we live in.

I think he can, as a woman I used to work with recounted that her friend had been the recipient of some charming (unsolicited, naturally) dick pics from JT.

Would be a terrible shame if that story found its way into the press. Just saying.
