The Frankie Friday Music Thread.....RIP on 12:56 - Dec 21 by CroydonCaptJack
Been revisiting a lot of Motown lately.
Great era
One of the highlights of my very uneventful and dull life was seeing Smokey Robinson live at Wynns / Paris Hotel in Las Vegas the day before NYE. What a showman. Then… to my absolute amazement and child like adulation…20 mins after the show finished the whole show descended on the same hotel bar we were in. It was like nobody noticed them apart from me and my mate Del. Bought the bass player a drink and had a chat.

Well that certainly blew the place up!!!
It bad gear, though not my go to genre these days………do miss the old school vinyl classics late night shows though!!
The Alpha Wave one really reminded me of the Ragga Twins back in the old REINFORCED record label days
Ha ha.. Kicked the doors down with those tracks.
I nearly posted a Ragga twin track on Reinforced as well . Great label . Ive been listening to a lot of old UK break beat stuff recently . That link of UK Hip Hop rolling into breakbeat rave was a natural transition.
This one is for our very own raving lunatic QPysR who I’ll always know as Brixo for his brilliant Sunday contributions years ago. Alas, now his weekends are 5 days long so we’re rarely treated to that!!!
Have a good one my rave brother

And allow me a divergence from the accepted genres here... this one is my favourite Xmas tune... memories attached to this some deep, some hilarious, some sad..... some even involving big fluffy parker hoods!!
(I've just realised that's the first time I've heard it this Christmas due to being exclusively around radio stations that play the styles I enjoy -- must have a binge on tacky Crimble records!!)
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL TFFT PEOPLE

I love a bit of Delgado, he has a real old skool feel about his tracks. You can get this track on Spotify if that's any help?
