I've been listening to a few Kenny Charles mixes recently as well funnily enough.

Ah those days of being on site with a radio and having miles of electrical wire tagged onto the aerial and trying to get a signal for a decent station. We’ve done the old pirate radio chat on here before but so what. Girls and Green Apple were the biz back then. You’d walk around site and know by who had what on their radio whether they had spent their weekend similar to you. I used to crack up at some of the looks lads would give me when they’d roll into my portacabin and hear Medina FM pumping out!!!!
Great days
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Green apple fm had a few djs that went on to Point Blank fm (Set up by Gary Mac) and then Release fm . Riddler (aka Mr Chops),Clint T , Steve Nash, Davey G, Nikki T, Paul James and others. Berkshire area was a massive influence on the dance scene. This vid cracks me up as it talks about the start of Release Radio and the pirate days.
Occasional providers of half decent House music.
