Being sent for a scan on Monday.

Redknapp: "It doesn't look good. It's his left knee. Everyone's keeping everything crossed that it's not as bad as we fear."

Ian Taylor: "Big win for the R's. Soured by the injury to @alefaurlin. Everyone at the club praying it's not as bad as we fear."

Looked a bad one. What a shame. My favourite QPR player and one of my favourite midfielders I have ever seen don the blue and white hoops. Can't help but feel, injuries aside, he has really been hindered by the turmoil at the club and having to constantly prove himself to new managers. If it is as serious as it seems, hope he can bounce back.

Big day today. I hope it is the less severe of potential outcomes. Fingers crossed for you Ale...

Agreed. One of the most important days of the season for me.

Gallen came back from 2 bad injuries. Ale is 27. If the worst has happened he can come back from this too. It may be his last year on the contract but if the worst has happened an incentive would be to offer him a year's extension based on his ability to get back. On the other hand, if it isn't so bad the club should commit to him when he's back.

Never knowingly right.

Of course no-one's died and we should keep things in perspective (never my particular forte) but..
just going through responsibility and dutiful motions at the mo'.
All I've really got on my mind is the diagnosis on AF this poxy if sunny November Monday.
Let us know ASAP,Ian J Taylor.

Something like us all I suspect,I'm just touching wood, fingers crossed, wishing, praying and hoping.

[It's not very important but I've re-edited my earlier post from Sunday on page 1 of this thread above.]

Had been hoping from the start of the season that Harry would give him the chance to play his way back into the side. I think by Saturday he had actually done it and then for that to happen makes it all the more sickening Fingers crossed for a true Ranger.

The Club will see him right financially I am sure but Ale won't be considering that, he will just want to be able to play. Everything crossed that it's not as serious as it seemed.

Agree with all the sentiments here. I am fervently praying the outcome is as positive as possible, under the circumstances.
Absolutely gutted for Ale as he was finally seeming to win Arry over, and with his contract up at season's end, I was thinking he might be playing himself into a position where Redknapp had absolutely no alternative but to offer him a new one.

Shit but local

I think Clive summed it up perfectly in his match report.

Taking away the sentiment, he thought that AF only really back to something like his best v Wigan and Saturday, after previous injury, so for it to happen now particularly upsetting.

Like everyone else, hoping its a muscle tear and not ligament damage.

I thought it looked like an impact injury until I saw his reaction.

When a player has previously experience the pain the goes with an ACL I'm pretty sure he will know again!

Here's hoping for the best but I wouldn't put a pound on it being anything else.

Good luck AF!

Dont know why we bother. .... but we do!

Impact injury you say?Could be just a sprain, but even that would take six weeks.

Fingers crossed it's only that..

QPR’s Head of Medical Services, Peter Florida James, told www.qpr.co.uk: “It's a really nasty cruciate injury.

“We’re all desperately disappointed for Ali, but he is a great professional and I'm sure he'll work just as hard at recovering from this injury as he did from his previous ACL rupture.”

Out for the rest of the season when his contract ends. He'd already said a few weeks ago the club were in no hurry to offer him a new deal. Unfortunately a second ACL in 3 years isn't likely to provide a new deal.

Wow, this is really upsetting. Agree with the poster who pointed out that it always seems to be fan-favourites who get the bad injuries at QPR.
